Labrador heaven

Labrador Heaven posted on Main Page The Lobby  Labrador Heaven I read often, post less and less. I'm leaving b/c of the vitriol - and because I do not truly feel we will get a strong leader in this next Prez election. We are divided, seemingly disarticulating ourselves, bone by bone, to "win" arguments - NO ONE is destined to "win" this unless chosen by the very persons we should have destroyed in the last two elections - the hidden money movers, the party elites and bribed delegates on both sides of the aisle.

Be careful who you really, really wish's only a matter of time until the glow wears off and establishment or their lack of character and integrity shows its long nails of ownership. Both sides. Trump may be the only guy not owned, but it's probably not likely he understands the fight against HUGE money entrenchment he faces. I have no dog in this fight any longer. Just have seen what vast money does - and if you DON'T HAVE it, you ARE controlled by it, every step...unless you are ready and willing to go back to your farm in some state, and raise pigs and cows and be quiet. Just get a *touch* of won't be content to do that. Seen it. Your never return the same person, the same soul. There are no Mr. Smiths in Washington now. And no one is riding in.

No one gets to Prez running without a lot of $$ and a background that brings them forward; they ride the wave of favor into office. It's said it takes a special kind of psychosis to run for national office. Yep. I've worked for a Governor and 2 US Senators in my past. The rosy glasses are needed to get through so much of your day, always. Then you take them off, go home and pray you get thru another day with them on again.

No one wins. We ALL LOSE. I think this country is beyond repair. BHO saw to final nails in the coffin.

Seeing what I see @ my hospital system with the flow of illegal muslims and other apparently welcome classes of illiterates, irresponsible people, wanting more and more special treatments as they endanger lives by not doing their jobs (disinfecting hospital areas. ) They can't be fired, they wear full Muslim garb to the floor, dragging - hijab is just the beginning - eliminating the point of isolation rooms.
Muslim women allowed to wear the head dress that has only small, small slits - while they are driving, providing NO PERIPHERAL VISION. Allowed by BMV.

I'm finished b/c the announcements are always forthcoming on Drudge or elsewhere about yet ANOTHER 85K illegals, sopping wet from the RIO Grande, CAUGHT BY BORDER PATROL, are released as they stand. No one knows who or what is here. Some DO know, and want to encourage it. THOSE individuals KNOW who is here to destroy us. Keep em coming. Let another Kate happen. It already many cities.

I wish all

Labrador Heaven posted on Dogs, Cats & Critters  If you have not seen the documentary "The Tiger and The Monk" - it's on Netflix now. For all animal lovers, those who enjoy basking in God's wonderous creations and can marvel at things in nature that can exist side-by-side even as polar opposites, you will love this. Absolutely beautiful, stunning and has some very funny moments.

Labrador Heaven posted on Main Page The Lobby  Many years ago, when was just in its infancy, I was awaiting my new sign-on and password as the one I had been using, along with the sign-on I registered with, got jumbled in the early servers for some reason. I sent Cap an email about something he wrote and wanted to know if he would post as my sign-on was in limbo. He gladly did and we had a nice exchange of emails after that. Incredible man, incredible life well-lived,and he is now Home. Maybe he'll get a heavenly version of going - after all, we have enough posters there already and you know Josh is in charge of the heavenly tech end of things!

Labrador Heaven posted on Main Page The Lobby  For all Downton Abbey lovers, here's a glimpse of the upcoming Season 4 of the show. It does contain a spoiler since the seasons run in full in the UK before they run here in the US. I adore this show. (There is a new cookbook out of the recipes in the show, too. )

Labrador Heaven  Dame Maggie Smith is an absolute hoot! Sounds like Shirley MacLaine will return as Cora's mother as well. But Matthew Crawley character.....that's a different story.

FL Homeschool Mom  Started watching Downton Abbey in December (watched 2 seasons on Prime in no time! ) and then counted the days until the new season started. I pre-ordered the DVD on Amazon so I don't have to wait for the new episodes on Sunday night!

I don't care for Shirley MacLaine on DA, would have preferred Olympia Dukakis in the role. Just my humble opinion.

StormCnter  I'm a Downton Abbey fan, too. A fellow L-Dotter pointed me to "The Grand", during the DA off-season. I highly recommend that series, too. It's available on DVD and is centered on a family-owned, very upscale, elegant London hotel with big-time money troubles. The time-frame is similar to Downton Abbey. Try it. You'll love it.

Labrador Heaven  Between Amazon Prime and Netflix, and even PBS' own site/IPad app, it's covered. The PBS app also has the closed captioning for some dialogue you might miss, but the episodes are only up until March 3rd via PBS. I have the IPad Amazon app and it does not yet support closed captioning.

Tonight, DVR is set for 3 programs to record, one being Boomtown, on "Hannity" and then Downton and "The Good Wife." Can't stand TGW's liberal bent throughout but the writing is fairly crisp. I'll be watching an old episode of "Columbo" while the others record. Love Columbo!!

Labrador Heaven posted on Main Page The Lobby  I'm putting this up here again, because it gets lost in all the other Petraeus threads....think it's rather an important item that no one could tie together when it was published, but look at the descriptor of "other man" job and scope, and note "The Ethicist" author's response and call-out. This was "her" husband putting several people on notice, indeed:

The word is that the second letter in the column linked below is from Broadwell's husband, showing knowledge of the affair. More interesting is the reply from "The Ethicist" column author. Intriguing. From July of this year:

(Go to second letter down, "My Wife's Lover" )
