MaxWedge posted on The Road Automobilia  Got my 1962 Plymouth Fury back on the road recently, after letting it sit for 7 years. It sure is fun driving it again.

Balogreene  I know, I have a 10.5 yr old Mazda Miata. I've been through a lot lately and let the car sit so long the battery died (4 or 5 months ). I drove it the other day and remember why I own it!

The '62 Fury is a little before my time (I was 10 ), but was greatly admired by my car-loving friends in the 70's. It is a beauty.

HopeandGlory  Thank you Max . . . I love this train pic . . . it reminds me so much of the terrain between Texas and Arizona, when we go to Tucson to visit my son and his family.

MaxWedge posted on Photography  It's been a long time since I've posted anything on here. This is a spider that was sitting in one of my roses this summer. It looks like dinner below him.

MaxWedge posted on Main Page The Lobby  This will make your heads explode. Yesterday, a couple I know was contacted by an acquaintance of theirs who works for CPS. They were asked if they would be interested in taking in any of these illegal alien children. She went on to say that the government, aka you and I, is willing to pay them $6400.00 a month per child. When is this insanity going to stop?

Linder  Since my head exploded after reading this, I've read the money is being offered by private charity.

Bettijo  "Foster parents have the ability to collect more than $7,400 per month, considering that they can house six immigrants at any given time."

I read somewhere else but cannot find it now that this was more than foster parents get for taking in US children and these foreigners may be as old as 22 years.
