MeiDei posted on Movies & Reviews  2007 action/comedy movie. Name the movie & stars:

"East meets West again [ 3rd time] when the assassination of Ambassador Han leads to the reunion of Lee and Carter.. In Paris, the pair must stay one step ahead of Chinese gangsters, and Lee's childhood friend (Hiroyuki Sanada ), as they track down an envelope containing the identity of a powerful crime lord".

MeiDei posted on Movies & Reviews  For your viewing pleasure from the 1950's, the NYT review was snarky:
Desert Legion 1953 Alan Ladd, Richard Conte, Arlene Dahl

Yesterday at 11:28 EST .

Tulsa  Alan Ladd looks like my Daddy. Daddy is better looking ; )
Yesterday at 12:01 EST .

StormCnter  I wonder if Ladd had to stand on a box again for his scenes with Dahl. She was fairly tall.
Yesterday at 12:47 EST .

Tulsa  Searched and found this:Humphrey Bogart was 5'8" but he was concerned that audiences would notice that he was smaller than Ingrid Bergman, his co-star in Casablanca. In some scenes, Bergman was told to slouch down on a sofa – with Bogart sitting on extra cushions – to level up their heights.

The Forties film noir star Actor Alan Ladd (5'6" ), who was born on September 3, 1913, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, would sometimes stand on a box to appear taller than his female co-stars. Other tricks of the trade were to make actresses wear ballerina shoes in scenes next to short actors and tall leading ladies would sometimes stand in specially dug trenches to make them appear shorter on film. Studios would also build different sets and film short actors in the sets that made them appear taller – using shorter door frames for example.

GO3  Gladiator, the first battle in Germania. IMO, it was one of the most accurate depictions of a Roman combined arms assault in a movie - ever.

Yesterday at 19:04 EST .

StormCnter  Mei, you will laugh when I tell you that I have a file of western stars of yesteryear and many of them strike this same pose in publicity photos. The hat, the icy look, the smoldering cigarette. They do tend to look alike as a result.

MeiDei posted on Movies & Reviews  As a kid I used to write to movie stars asking for an autographed photo, Roy Rogers was one lucky receiver - from this photo you can see I wasn't the only one. Do you think stars receive fan mail by he daily bag load as stars did then?

Tulsa  oops. sorry Gram, you have #2. Is anyone watching this post/delete saga going on here? lol HEP!
Saturday at 08:56 EST .

MeiDei  Post/delete is me, spell check doesn't always catch missing T or U or C and any other key missing it's button or getting stuck due to high humidity - so if I catch it after posting I delete as soon as possible & repost. In this case however, the "S" was missing from "movies" which would have made someone think all 3 came from the same movie - you both have correctly identified the 3 different ones ,,, nice team work.

Tulsa  What happens with me is I post and nothing happens. No 'circle' showing the page is considering posting my comment, so I hit comment again.

I didn't get 'I see dead people.' I saw the movie on tv. Had a child and I think Bruce Willis. Cannot remember the name.

Last walkin, Mei, was Unforgiven with Clint in 1992. Then it was video stores. Then they went away. And the company was so busy moving us, all I did was unpack and put in yards and decorate. For instance 4 moves in 8 yrs in South Carolina alone.

I haven't seen a fraction of the movies offered. But this is truly fun. I'm learning what I missed and what I didn't! lol

   Safetydude  Re: #3.

That's a line spoken by Frodo in book two of "The Lord Of The Ring's" trilogy, "The Two Towers". I don't know if it's in the movie, as well.
The line here my be taken from another movie...
