Days of Heaven? Sorry, never heard of it, if there is such a movie. Tell me this doesn't have anything to do with what a certain group of suicide bombers think they're going to get in Paradise.
August 29 at 01:24 EST .

Mike PHX  Don't worry, Mei. It does not.
It's actually a basic love story writ large on the Texas plains, circa early 1900's
What made it a great movie, IMHO, was Nestor Almendros' beautiful cinematography.
All he had to do was be there and catch it at the right moment.
And with an Ennio Moricone score it was perfect.

MeiDei  So is there a movie by the last guess title? You &
Storm are author/director minded with great memories of titles and cast -- I'm no match for you guys & others.
August 29 at 13:36 EST .

Mike PHX  Yes, you were right, Days of Heaven.
Directed by Terence Malick. Kind of a cult movie and director, but pretty much everyone in H'Wood would do one of his movies for free.
Look him up and check out his movies. I admit it could be an acquired taste.

August 26 at 06:08 EST .

Mike PHX  Harry and Tonto?! You're gonna make me start crying again!

No, this is supposed to be Morris, he, late of the cat food commercials. He also had a starring role in "Shamus", starring Burt Reynolds.
August 26 at 10:20 EST .

StormCnter  Well, I wouldn't want to make you cry, Mike, so I'm glad this isn't the Carney cat.

I guess I missed "Shamus", but Burt Reynolds movies are almost always worth the time.
