MeiDei  I think the "while" is up.
How about a compromise of sorts.. your quizzes: those that have seen the movie and found it memorable write a little blurb (review ) of a favorite scene, etc. That way for those who haven't seen it their curiosity might be motivational.

Mike PHX posted on Movies & Reviews  What the hell? Again with this nonsense?
Rake has never professed to owning this wall. I've seen Hope and others (including myself ) post alternatives to trivia questions here. regarding movies. He's never had a problem with them as far as I could see.
But no one...no one...has been as prolific as Rake in posting here. If he wants to do movie trivia in all his posts, so be it. He's even adjusted the format to mix things up a little.
If you want to see more than trivia questions on this wall, then post them. No one is stopping you. Personally, current movie reviews would be welcomed by me. Or an appreciation for and critique of one of your favorite movies, old or new.

StormCnter  Back in the old chatroom days, short music clips (wavs ) were hugely popular. I spent a great deal of time creating wavs for my fellow chatters to enjoy. This version of "Sing, Sing, Sing" was one of the most popular.

Gerty  I wasn't sure if anyone would be interested in a little bit of information on Gene Krupa but seeing how Mr.Mike and Grams like Mr.Krupa---here goes.

One of my Uncles (long since deceased ) was retarded and partially deaf. His brother was a musician and a full time mail carrier. One of the people on Uncle Tony's route was Mr. Krupa. The two often spoke about Uncle Jerry's unusual talent for music expressed on the drums--considering his handicaps. Uncle Jerry had perfect timing, etc.

When Uncle Jerry met Gene Krupa, Mr.Krupa was kind enough to give a pair of his drum sticks to Uncle Jerry. Jerry cherish those so much, he was buried with them in his hands.

Lights_Camera_Action  If you mean "Stormctr", I did not disagree about doing reviews. My presentations only take up a small part of the day, and I haven't done any for more than a day and half, leaving plenty of time. Also, as with your posts, I copied and moved them back to the top, when my posts pushed you off the page. I would never post in the middle of some discussion about a movie taking place.

My Grandfather warned me that if I wanted to pick up where he left off, it would be a very good idea to only do the movies and leave the other walls alone. I have honored that advice. You will not find a post of mine anywhere but on the movie wall.

I have a long stretch of senior residence visits throughout February, so I will be only an occasional poster here thru the end of February.

Lights_Camera_Action  Surfhut & Gram: I do not know that Mike was calling me out, however because he was so vague I didn't know exactly who he meant. I like to think I am inclusive and always welcomed new players like "Richdet". Something obviously set him off, as Mike is normally a jolly guy, with his little kidding remarks. My grandfather adored him.

Sorry to lose one of our better players, gosh darn it.

Gram77  As much as I love cats, they are a real pain if you try to introduce a new food. My dad wasn't particularly nuts about cats but tolerated them because we all loved them. He said the problem with them was when they were outside they wanted in and when they inside they wanted out.

Gerty  I believe Mike was referring to the adopters as being more 'rescued' than the adopted. These dogs, cats, birds, and fish have a wonderful affect on us as we care for them.

Now, if spiders can make you feel better about life in general---I'll give you no argument.

Escaped commieny  Spiders and snakes get killed, period , end of story. Would not have a cat because they get on the kitchen, food prep area, the dog hair on the floors is bad enough. I have to pet sit my brothers' two pits and two cats and the cats are always on the kitchen counter, take out dinners for sure. yuck. My dogs stay on the floor, caught Molly Mayhem standing up with paws on the counter for a nummie, bad move girl. Never did it again. Before we knew Florida, a little brown snake came through the yard, chased by a big, long black snake, we shot the black, not knowing it was a Black Racer trying to kill a poison brown snake. Have learned a lot, now welcome the black racers.

Charactercounts  Our little cat never gets up on anything but the beds and sofa, and of course her own little perch at the window. They can be trained not to get on counters and tables very easily--just shoot them with a water pistol whenever they try it!

Surfhut  I probably won't find the words to adequately explain why The Screwtape Letters did it for me. At a time when I was questioning my faith, God in His wisdom used this book to show me WHY I was questioning my faith. Make sense?

Mike PHX  Actually, Surf, that does. I've got to read it, I've heard about it many times.
My book is Desire of the Everlasting Hills. I'm a huge history buff and I've always been sort of torn between the faith aspect of my religion and what probably actually happened. The book laid things out so that I could see in most cases there really isn't a conflict between the two.
I think I'll re-read it...after Screwtape.
