Synchronicity TXknitter - want to apologize for my first come back to your request for an oil worker march on D.C. Late at night and more than a little frustrated with the whole Washington scene. Texan in Massachusetts? I'm a former Bostonian (32 years ago), oil patch ever since - Houston twice, Utah, England, Scotland, bunch of time in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, some time in Pakistan and now Lafayette, Louisiana. Westport - close to Cape Cod where I spent my summers (Hyannis area). My first time on The Connection - appreciate you motivating me to give this a try.
PS - still very suspicious of our government and therefore haven't yet posted my home e-mail out of concern my strong views could potentially lead to my unemployment a concern that seems less ridiculous as time goes by.
Stay warm and dream of Texas.

Gabula Yawnnn, I'm going to bed, will listen to Mark Levin, Batchelor and this guy on WABC overnight. Obaman is in on our TV's and in our faces more or just as much as Castro and Little Hugo.... not a day goes by that this poser isn't in our faces.

Excalgalcg Magdalene I am about 10 miles north of Portland, ME and about 4 miles south of Freeport, and LLBean!!! Been here almost six years and love it. I'm originally from upstate New York but late hubby and the kids and I moved to northern CA a long time ago. I moved here to get away from CA and am near family. Where did you live in CA?? I was in Walnut Creek and then Danville after my husband died. Loved it, but the traffic and politics got to me.

Magdalene Excalgal, I was born in San Diego, lived there for much of my early childhood. My mom was born in L.A. In 1918 (when it was a cow pasture as she always said) so our family gatherings were always at her brother's place in Anaheim, where we could see the spires of Cinderella's castle. I lived in Northern CA in the late 70's after I left Maine. I lived in Santa Rosa and Cloverville before I moved to what I now know to be God's country, Oklahoma. Never regretted it.
