Bob913 Found this in a search: -------------------------- I would suggest you to run SFC scan. To determine whether the issue that you are experiencing is caused by one or more system files that are used by Windows 7, run the System File Checker tool. The System File Checker tool scans system files and replaces incorrect versions of the system files by using the correct versions. To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps: 1. Click Start and then type cmd in the Start Search box. 2. Right-click cmd in the Programs list, and then click Run as administrator. 3. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password or click Continue. 4. At the command prompt, the following line, and then press ENTER: sfc /scannow When the scan is complete, test to see whether the issue that you are experiencing is resolved. How to repair the operating system and how to restore the operating system configuration to an earlier point in time in Windows Vista http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936212 Though this article is for Windows Vista, it applies to Windows 7 as well. Hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you need further help. Regards Rehman – Microsoft Support

Bob913 System Restore can go back before you had this problem. You just choose a date on a calendar that is in bold then click next. It takes less then 10 minutes to restore your pc to an earlier time. I use it all the time at work for spyware problems.

BubbaEuler Internet Explorer, perhaps, has an "add-on" that is working in the background (without your direct knowledge or remembrance of the inclusion to I. E.). This can be benign. Also, changes to the registry due to software installation can, and do, affect the operation of I. E. If desired, I can provide links to free scanners/tools which can assist you in solving the problem. Let me know.

BubbaEuler Good Morning, Tenntom. Here is a link to a download of freeeware by IObit: http://majorgeeks.com/IObit_Toolbox_d650 3.html It's a zip file. Unzip it and run the Register Cleaner and the Windows Repair modules. It is an excellent set of programs which are designed for use by computer novices, in that they are completely safe and easy to use. If you have questions, let me know. Have fun!

Rather Read The prices of everything will go up now. If gas stays this high or higher, we are going to be in such trouble as I can hardly imagine and eventually the syncopants in the MSM are going to have to take notice.

Norcalvet Even if the MSM does not notice or comment, EVERYONE else will, as it will directly impact their pocket books. Sometimes that is the only way to get thru to the knuckleheads.

Surfhut $3.93 at a Shell station in West Los Angeles this morning. I'm flying from Los Angeles to San Francisco in a few weeks to visit my son for his 21st birthday. Airfare for this short, relatively inexpensive flight has gone through the roof. Along with my blood pressure.

Browneyes Surfhut,Would the train be less expensive? I enjoyed the trip in reverse 10 yrs.ago. Retired,my driving is much, much less, but all above are correct. It's too bad the Corporate heads/employers cannot recognize their pencil pushers & talking heads need a visit to the woodshed.
