Gop_guys  I've personally met the man. I love it that he's an Aggie. He's a straight talker. He's conservative to the bone. I just don't see him as a presidential contender. I'm big on Herman Cain. I really want to see a Cain/Ryan ticket for more reasons than the obvious.

MirJoy  Totally forgot to watch Herman Cain last nite on Hannity. Fall asleep early, wake up early. Did anyone catch him? Herman Cain is not the chosen one by the MSM or Fox, so he really needs a strong organization and money. Was thinking that Obama is over in Ireland, dancing the jig, and the people in Joblin are devasted and he doesn't even care. The man is incapable of empathy. Another reason I like Cain. Can anyone imagine him going to Ireland looking for his roots, and being so dispassionate about his fellow citizens - wouldn't happen.

Fysammy  Watched Cain last night. Was an early supporter, but my interest is waning as I watch him. A little to "rah rah" slick, and canned responses that camouflage his depth of understanding of the issues. Sorry, I'm leaving the train.

Thanks for the link on Perry, I want to know more.

Let's face it, Paul Ryan is the most important Republican today, Presidential, let's see.

Sorry, Bolton is unelectable and only Cabinet member material at best.

Persecutor2  Said this elesewhere, I just can't see another Texas gov getting elected anytime soon--the lamestreams did such a htchet job on Bush. And I got a bit of the feeling Sammy got watching Cain the other night--altho he did do one thing that really cheered me up: When the interviewer asked him what he would offer the "Palestinians" to induce them to make peace, he said "Nothing"...

Starlady  Cain was on Hannity last night, but only briefly. Hannity promised a more in depth interview on his program soon. Cain is my # 1 choice so far. I like him a lot, but will consider other conservative candidates. If Sarah P jumps in I may have to make a hard choice.
I also heard Hannity interview Perry on his radio show today. About the Presidency Perry demurred, saying he has other obligations,( the legislature and the Governors Association).

Betty Jean  FWIW, posters from Texas on the mother site say Perry is a conservative only because his feet are being held to the fire by the voters. Several less than conservative incidents were mentioned but I don't remember them.

I think this goes on at least every Wednesday and possibly more times each week. And don't forget the 30,000 who attended the Easter egg roll FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY. I continue to ask why our legislative branch doesn't cut up their entertainment credit card. So many questions! And probably the biggest one is, WHY ARE WE PAYING THE HOUSE AND SENATE. They've been absolutely useless with this poseur. The Czars and ValJar are evidently running the country.

Have you ever visited the ship? It is a perfect place for one of the Shuttles. Gotta a problem with Houston not getting a Shuttle? Take it up with NASA. And don't forget that it was politics (LBJ) that got Mission Control based in Houston. Sauce for the goose... And by all means, please adhere firmly to your boycott.

Yottyhere  I know the rules by heart on Lucianne. And I have been brought up short when I went over the line there. Sometimes I thought it was fair. Other times I didn't. The ultimate deciding factor was that it was Lucianne's site and I was a Guest.

Now over here is a different ball game. We are so new into this site.
I know we can chat back and forth.
We can disagree quite vocally , as long as we keep it civil.
So far, I haven't, to my knowledge, been deleted here on the Connection.

I tend to voice my personal opinion on a topic and move on to other topics.
I have received emails pro/con to one of my opinions...but HEY.....

opinions are like butts ...we all have one eh????

There are some posters on this site that aggravate the crap out of me........but I am on probably on the top of their list too.

I like the give and take.
I have favorite posters. I have others who I think need to be locked up :D

I love this site.

I get to chit chat with people I have posted with for years....

MsCharlotteVale  Since I've been a member, I go to the rules page at least twice a year to read the rules. Sometimes I've been afraid that I'm borderline bad but I do follow the rules even though I've sometimes almost chopped off a finger or poked out an eyeball to keep from lashing out and doing a drive-by. Many times I've avoided commenting on an article in order to remain civil and to keep my posting priviledges.

TotallyTexan  posted on Main Page The Lobby  My heart has been heavy all day thinking about our dear Ms. Lucianne and her family. The song that keeps coming back to me is 'Fragile' by Sting. This video is from his performance on 9/11/01 in Italy...just hours after the attack in NYC. I thought it was appropriate considering what Joshua did in the aftermath on that horrible day. Rest in peace Joshua.

OK state mom  I may think this is the thing to do but I think it sets UTMB up for a negligence law suit as they had already established a relationship w/the patient by accepting her from another facility. I'm sure their legal department looked at it first and allowed it.

Many years ago a hospital in Wichita Falls accepted a Russian national as a patient. I don't know if he was there legal or not. Would assume legal. While he was recovering the USSR government fell. He required long-term ventilator care altho he was completely coherent. There was no Russian hospital to accept him. The Wichita Falls hospital, after establishing care, i.e., surgery; probably emergency in this case, with him they could not just tell him to leave. They could tell him he was responsible for his bill but that was a waste of paper...he was permanently disabled. And, last I knew...he stayed there until his death; a very long time after they first admitted with the people of Wichita County, Texas eating the bill.

OnTheBall  Illegal Aliens are costing the American taxpayers just under HALF A TRILLION $$$ per yr!!! And this doesn't even address the THEFT, DEATHS from car accidents, murders, etc. The ~strain~ on our Medical Services is SO BAD many hospitals are closing, others are having to close their Emergency Rooms because of the flood of walk-in traffic involving NON-emergency medical care!!!! i.e. complaints of headaches, flu symptoms to sniffles and requests in help in losing weight! Just as the police are recieving a flood of routine information calls on their 9-11 Emergency Service lines! The marxists are encouraging this flood of illegals, because it facilitates their Cloward & Piven Strategy of DESTROYING our Free Market economy and way of life!

Currently, the states of California, New York and Illinois are in overdrive mode in the Cloward/Piven Strategy as they are inching closer to forcing the Federal Govt to 'TAKE OVER' those states and begin the total marxist dictatorial rule and setting aside all State Laws and instituting total Fed controls! This is how they fully intend to take over this nation; one state at a time by default! If we sit back and allow this to happen it is national suicide!

MsCharlotteVale  Remember, though, that both parties have been okay with this situation and haven't taken any steps to stop it. I was dead serious about my complete distrust of the motives, methods, and ultimate intentions of the marxists currently in power. And for the record, in my opinion he should have been returned to Mexico. It was the manner in which it was all carried out that offended me, as well as the fact that it was carried out by a hospital and not a government agency. I don't believe involuntary deportations are the proper business of a hospital or any other company. It is vigilantism. That doesn't make me a bleeding heart.
