Okiecat posted on Main Page The Lobby  I'm posting tonight to let you know that my sister, balogreene, passed away in January. She loved Lucianne.com and counted a number of you on The Connection among her friends, so I wanted you to know why she isn't posting any more.

BirdsNest  I am heart broken, she was such a sweet person. Never met her but we e-mailed occasionally and I always looked forward to her posts. I hope that your mother and other sister are being taken care of in some fashion. Balogreene was their rock, because she was there with them. Prayers for all.

Okiecat posted on The Range 2nd Amendment  My husband and I went to the range for a machine gun rental yesterday and had a blast! Since I've never fired a rifle before, I tried the P90, M5 and M7 - all nice, but I loved the M7. There's essentially no recoil, and it's so easy to control, the instructor told me his 12yo daughter shoots it. Hubby fired the Uzi, Tommy gun and M5. It was so fun, I'd do it all the time, except that you run through a 30-round clip in seconds, so it's a tad expensive. I like machine guns!

Ole buzzard  I remember one time in the USAF when we had to go through our annual training on the M-16. Our instructor gave us a very brief (about 2 seconds, if that long ) demonstration with a 10 shot magazine of why we should not put our weapons on full auto on the range.

Eagle's Dominion  I was fortunate when I lived in AZ. to have a good friend that had two fully automatic weapons( with the proper licenses and permits )that I was able sto play with. We would go to a gravel pit near us that had a couple of old trucks that were abandoned and used as targets. One weekend we pulled in to the pit and there must have been 8 guys out there shooting their rifles and handguns. We loaded up the rifles and and opened up on the the old beaters(one each )in full auto mode. Emptied the clips and looked around and before we knew it we were the only ones shooting. Everyone else packed up and left! LOL We went through an entire two CASES of ammo that day. AHHHH...memories. :- )
