StormCnter  Tulsa, I downloaded it, installed it but it won't let me access because of a certificate problem. I tried all the work arounds and then gave up. It was worth a try and I thank you for the suggestion.

Tulsa  I'm in Brave as I type. Trying to sort all the set up info. I am not a tech. I successfully transferred favorites, etc. MicroS keeps trying to default to Edge. Fixed that. Had ads at Luci. Deleted all ads. Do not know if this will hold or will work. But will let you and everyone know.

It may be working for me bc I'm in Win 10 and you are still using 7. I have no idea. After I downloaded I had to 'set up' download. I'm still learning and working on it.

Tulsa  Storm, Luci's certif has been bad for so long I can't remember. I get that error message in FF, but not Edge and not in Brave. I just ignore the warning and log in. But to be blocked, I don't know what to tell you.

StormCnter  I'm still working on it, Tulsa, uninstalling and reinstalling with different browsers. We'll see. I'd never gotten the certificate message before, but Brave wouldn't let me "ignore".

Tulsa  I know you can do it. I lost all FF bookmarks trying to delete just one site...aaargh...and had to reload them. Took seconds. I don't know what I'm doing. Still no ads at Luci. There is a 'payments' page with this browser which I am ignoring. I think? it's optional.

There are things built into this browser, such as a flash player. It's much like FF basically to set up only there are fewer options as they are assuming you do not want cookies, or to be tracked or ads, if that makes any sense.

In order to get no ads at Luci, I am accepting 'no' cookies on the drop down Brave icon.

Things load much faster without ads. Also the ads are tied to malware. There is a short video on the Brave homepage. I watched it.

Also when I downloaded, a green screen slowly covered the FF icon. So it maybe building on FF. Then I went to downloads and dbl clicked and set up.

I need a nap. My hair hurts! lol...I'll check back

MeiDei  The co-founder of FF got kicked out for something he said and went on to found Brave. Good to know it's finally operational.

Lonestar Jack  I am using Brave right now. Been using it for a long time especially on site that use a lot of javascript, ads and images. Drudge is much faster.

Tulsa  Thx Lonestar Jack, glad it is working for others too. It's very similar to FireFox...just more built in which I like. Still learning what the browser can and can't do.

StormCnter  Tulsa, I've been messing with Brave for a couple of days now and cannot get past the Certificate Error for Lucianne. Brave's Community forum indicates several people are having trouble with certificate errors for various sites. There is apparently no fix for it. I'll leave Brave installed, but I won't try to use it again for a while.

Tulsa  That warning signing in has been there a very long time. I wrote Luis, but he never responded. Maybe if you write him, it will help. Every ID and password is in danger if Lucianne's certif is outdated.

I'm in Brave and I can login. I can login using Edge and there is no warning, but I get the warning using FF, but am still able to log in.

I'm going looking for the forum you mentioned. There is no help at Brave that's all tech talk in code. I have chosen no list for the adblock feature. It has to be preloaded??? There is no list for 'USA'. I'm not allowing any cookies in order to block ads and don't even know why that is working. ...but I'll take it until further notice.

I think? Brave is still in Beta testing. Or they are working out the bugs. That may be the same thing. This is over my head.

Tulsa  We had an appt. B4 I left I read a bit at one Brave forum. Brave is out of beta testing. This is the first edition. It appears a site that has ads will be paid in bitcoin and the ads will then be removed. I do not know if this is optional. The software has not asked me for bitcoin or payment and I would not know where to get one if I wanted, which I don't.

StormCnter  Tulsa, this is where I was reading about people getting the certificate error with Brave. I have no problem clicking the Ignore button, but the Ignore button was grayed out. Others seem to be having similar experiences. I'm sure Brave will issue a fix. Maybe I'll write and add my name to the cause. https-certificate-error-exceptions/941

Tulsa  Great googlie mooglie. I have not had one of those problems and in fact, know how to solve several.

I'm on the www for very short periods of time. I have FF, Edge and Brave. One will work until the kinks are cleared. The web is losing traffic due to obnoxious ads. It's a cross between Vegas and Times Square = awful. Enough.
