Balogreene  I love the West. Just spent a week in Oklahoma. Tulsa has a ton of Art Deco and Art Nouveau buildings, beautiful. Then we went to the Tall Grass Prairie Preserve, home to 2,000 buffalo, Woolarock and the Gilcrease Museum, both museums of Western art (think Remington ). We also went to the Cherokee Culture Museum. Amazing art, history, and people.

FlatCityGirl  If you haven't been there already, the next time you have a chance, go to Claremore and see the Will Rogers Memorial. There is also an old hotel in the town of Claremore that has a huge collection of historical firearms. I guess it's still there. It's been a number of years now since I've been there.

Have you been to Philbrook in Tulsa? That was always one of my favorite visits. The Phillips boys did a lot for art and cultrue in Oklahoma in general and Tulsa spcifically.

Balogreene  Did go to the Will Roger's Museum, didn't do Philbrook this year, did it last. We were doing an "Old Route 66" thing, so we went to the Blue Whale, The world's largest totem pole, and the Will Rogers Museum, ran out of time for the firearms, will go next year.

We went to Woolarock for the second time, because last year we had to rush through it. They have a great firearms collection too. Although we go there for the artwork, they have some special things there.

I just looked, that was last year's post. Although I went in May again this year!
