Rake King Stan "The Man" Musial, R.I.P. Played his entire career with the St Louis Cardinals. Gentlemen like this do not come our way very often. St Louis is in mourning at Stan.'s passing at 92.

Olhokie64 I imitated his batting stance when I was a kid. Later on a coach convinced me to use a more conventional stance and I started hitting better. It was perfect for for him, I had the opportunity to watch him a few times in Cincinnati. I usually didn't like players from other teams, but The Man was different. Even as a young kid, I could see he was something special.

HopeandGlory I lived in St. Louis from 1963-1969 and absolutely adored The Cardinals. I remember many nights listening to Jack Buck and Harry Carey on the radio. I saw my first live baseball game in the old Browns Stadium and I was hooked. Thank you "Stan the Man" for all the memories . . . RIP.
