MeiDei  1960 Name the movie and actors.
London schoolteacher Jean Rice returns to her seaside resort hometown at a time of personal crisis. Her father, Archie, is a star on the music hall circuit, but, in the television age, that old-fashioned entertainment is dying out. His second wife, Phoebe, is openly contemptuous of her husband's many affairs, and his son, Mick, is a soldier fighting in the Suez. Despite Archie's unflagging optimism, tragic events unfold

Richdet  Laurence Olivier and Joan Plowright recreating their stage roles in "The Entertainer," and not so incidentally starting a romance that led to marriage (though dad and daughter in the story ). Archie Rice was the role that moved Olivier away from classical roles in England to the kind of contemporary figure that had come to dominate British plays. Doing this role, in a play by one of the new exciting young writers (John Osborne in this case ), showed that Olivier could adapt to modern plays, and he had a huge success in it.

Plowright was one of the bright young things who were skeptical about Olivier being able to carry off the part, that he had wandered afar from his natural turf. Obviously she came around.
