Timber Queen  Suppose They Gave a Marxist Revolution and Nobody Cared? This is an essay I wrote a few weeks after the election as a I thought about what to do next. I don't want to be a "sunshine soldier", but I see no point in yet more letters, emails, and phone calls. I propose a strategy of intentional non-compliance. I hope this sparks some thoughtful discussion.

SUPPOSE THEY GAVE A MARXIST REVOLUTION AND NOBODY CARED?
By: Robin Rohr
December 8, 2012

Apathy. Lack of interest. Willful ignorance. These are the attributes of the majority of American people today. For quite some time now Conservatives have realized that complacency enabled the socialists to incrementally implement their agenda, and the socialists continue to cultivate these conditions to ensure their control of the government apparatus. When the Tea Party Movement sprang forth from the remnants of the old patriotic “silent majority” those participating were certain they were, indeed, representative of at least 60-70% of the population, and our solution lay with informing the general public of the socialist threat. This bedrock belief was the initial driving force of the movement. The 2012 election gave us stark evidence that we are at best a 50-50 nation with the patriots on the wane.

The Tea Party Movement was instrumental in the Republican Party retaking the House in 2010 after two years of public rallies, forming groups and umbrella organizations, and holding public information meetings. However, strong constitutionalist conservatives held only a small minority of perhaps 40 seats and faced strong opposition and pressure not only from the socialists, but also from the establishment GOP to bend to the DC status quo.

It appears that by 2010 the Tea Party Movement had attracted all they would attract. It ran up against the wall of apathy, lack of interest, and willful ignorance. And, once again, the Republican Party snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in the 2012 presidential race with the message that they can manage Big Government better than “their good friends across the aisle”. Conservatives can no longer just dismiss the Republicans as the “stupid party”. It is time to understand them as the collaborators they truly are, and that patriots at present do not have a political solution to the growing threats to our liberty.

History teaches us that with every exercise of power there is an Achilles Heel imbedded in the conditions wherein the power is executed. The socialists have used the “wall of apathy” to gain political and regulatory power, but will they be able to impose their will on the individual when they face the “wall of apathy”? They can pass all the regulations they desire, but what if people just don’t comply? A lesson learned from “Atlas Shrugged” is the importance to socialists to have the consent of their victims. Socialists cannot be shamed because they have no virtue, but they can be ignored because their primary value is power. The strategy is active non-compliance. Perhaps its time to resurrect that old 60’s Lefty put down, “Sounds like a personal problem.”

Admittedly, this strategy is not a panacea. Socialists do tend to impose their will through coercion, force and violence. Obamacare will be forced upon us, and we will have little recourse against the IRS enforcement of all the taxes, penalties, and fees. However, conservatives

Escaped commieny  and liberty minded people can take control of their own health and limit their interaction with the government system as best they can. Should the socialists unleash public unrest and riots, conservatives can prepare to protect themselves. Punitive taxes and fees can be minimized by various degrees of “Going Galt”. Total non-payment or selective non-payment of fees and taxes would be at the discretion of the individual.

The strategy of active non-compliance by conservatives will leverage off the “wall of apathy”. It will be most effective at the local level against Agenda 21 rules and regulations. As the socialists pass down these regulations to the state, county and city levels it will require each level to conduct studies, form bureaus, divisions, and units, write policies and procedures for bureaucrats of every level, and produce forms, surveys, reports, and tracking software programs. This is very time consuming and always engenders turf wars within the socialist power hierarchy. Let them have at it as it buys us time.

Escaped commieny  The strategy of active non-compliance employs simple tactics:
· Pray for discernment and know God.
· Live your life.
· Ignore all letters and written notifications, be too busy to talk on the phone and do not return voice mail.
· Force them to come to you in person. The bureaucrat will likely be a nice person just trying to do their job. Let them give their shtick. Thank them for their time and being so kind to explain all these new requirements. Offer them a cookie. Wave goodbye.
· Continue to not comply.

The consequences will depend on the how far the local city, county or state wants to pursue the matter through either law enforcement, court injunctions, or imprisonment. All these avenues take man-hours and resources. What will be the will of a city or county to put an otherwise productive tax-paying person in jail? In California the prisons are full and felons who are now serving their time in county jails. If the rumor of FEMA camps is true, why didn’t they take the victims of Sandy to them instead of forcing them to live in tents during a Northeast winter? Where will they put all of us? Should the socialists choose to take our property by armed force, there may be many patriots who will resist rather than

The strategy of active non-compliance will take many forms, with the goal of simply buying time. Time to resist. Time to live free. Time to preserve the good and the true. Time to see the unfolding of the Will of God. Perhaps for some of us “younger seniors” enough time to see liberty reborn, or to die before total slavery is imposed. May God have mercy on our souls, and on the United States of America.

Wilarrbie  Sure - what you're saying is we should revolt. Tax revolt, compliance revolt - great idea. But we who would do so are the ones who have something to lose, and they know it. The obamafon peoples have nothing - but mass blocks of votes - and the left courts and nurtures them. But those of us who work and play by the rules, along the way we bought a home. And a car and started savings accounts. We married and raised a family. We own things. Things that if we rock the boat, we will have those things taken from us. Obama rightly figures that while we pay our own phone bill, we'll just fork over the increase in taxes so the slackards can have phones too. And child care, and health care and a home. While most Americans would not want to deny these things to other Americans, NOBODY seems to want to make demands on those who will not work for it. And what we who DO work for these things lack - is LEADERSHIP who will defend us. The first fool who refuses to pay the IRS is going to be made an example to the timid rest of us. We're not used to breaking laws. We always color inside the lines. We will pay.

Ole buzzard   "and that patriots at present do not have a political solution to the growing threats to our liberty."

The operative words in that statement are "political solution". The Founders knew what they were up against, and as Wilarrbie hinted at, they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor.

The real patriots were in the minority in 1776. The same may well be true in 2012. I do not want to leave what we currently have to my grandchildren, or even my children.
