Bettijo Reminds me of Psalm 91:4, “He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.” There is absolutely nothing to fear about tomorrow; for God is already there.

Wrightwinger What a great day to be out of the hospital! The staff there was super, but I am glad to be home. I know when we age we start to forget, or lose things, but I went to the doctor due to shortness of breath, and had my lungs X-rayed. When this picture was compared to an older one, one lung looked to be missing a whole lobe! I didn't even have my parts numbered! Turns out that excess fluid caused it to collapse, and removal of this allowed it to reappear! Deep breaths taste pretty sweet! Blessed I am!

Linder It seems that you post every day (thank you ), so when did you have time to have a medical problem? Take care. We need your presence here.

Wrightwinger I prefer an iPad to the hospital TV. I had a couple of books loaded on it, and found a wireless network to access at the hospital. My first ride in a wheelchair... Pushed them a lot for others though.

Gerty Today is Dear Husband's birthday. Believe it or not, he was delivered by Dr. Stork in Indiana---many moons ago!
I should like to express my gratitude to the Lord for sending me such a fine man.

Straitpath This quote has been a blessing to me: if you haven't harmed a person it doesn't matter if he likes you. I am not sent here to entertain others.

Balogreene A while back Struan posted Cat pictures for Gram and movies for all of us, and other things too. He left for a while, told us he was going to, but I don't think we believed it would be so long.
Many started posting kitten pictures, and Rake King revived the Movie wall. We did okay, as Struan wanted us to. We each missed him in our own way, but we each went on and enriched others.
Thanks Struan for the example you set.

Surfhut My sister. The whole family, really. She made a fried chicken dinner yesterday. Then we dragged out her 2 giant boxes of old pictures. Took a stroll down memory lane, remembered so many things from our history, laughed ourselves silly. We aren't a famous or noteworthy family. But we are rich.

Straitpath Surfhut what you said reminded me of what my grandmother said in her history. She said her ancestors were not famous or leaders but were honest, hard working and God loving. The kind of people who build families and nations. Yes, you are blessed.

Straitpath We have probably all heard about the great effects one gets from writing down three blessings at the end of each day. I would like to use the blessing wall for just that. My greatest blessings as usual are family, God and country.

Surfhut This is so good. While I don't write them down, I give thanks for those 3 blessings each day. Think I'll start writing those down, along with 3 extra blessings per day. Extra blessings today: My little car and I made the long commute safely. God gave us the wisdom to create antibiotics (sinus infection dealt with ). My best friend Karen, after brain surgery and radiation for malignant tumors, is healthy and actually drove a car on her own. She's healed.

Linder Have never heard of writing down three blessings... I'm going to start doing the 3 givens plus the 3 extras. Today's are: Eight girls from our graduating class 51 yrs ago made it to our bi-monthly lunch meeting. Enjoyed a needed beautiful sun filled day. After finding my 99 yr old mother in a confused state at the nursing home, she suddenly realized who I was, asked about Gramps and said how much she enjoyed his visits. Good plan, Straitpath.

Belwhatter Faith has brought another of God's creations into life - from 3 months of pregnancy parents Graham and Danae knew their baby was in trouble and might never make it to nine months. Repeated ups and downs and scares have haunted them, but never deterred them from respecting the life they had made. The baby's heart had a huge aneurysm of the left pumping chamber. As he continued to amaze the cardio team, they began to talk heart transplant and requested the Mom to be within twenty minutes access to the hospital - this meant moving down to Seattle and leaving her two little boys with friends and grand parents, leaving Dad free to commute to and from hospital and work when possible. Baby Gaelen was delivered safely and immediately put on the transplant emergency list. In the meantime some lesser procedures were necessary to keep his fragile being going. A heart became available five days ago, and he came through well. Concerns re his breathing meant another surgery yesterday - again he has come through it. This baby has survived against the most awful odds. So many people have been keeping him and his family in prayer throughout, and maybe L dotters too, that we have to believe that God has a purpose for this child - so far it has reinforced faith in so many people to see this young couple living their faith and being held in love by God and his angels. Excuse me if I sound a bit misty eyed. Please hold them in your prayers as there is still a long road ahead for them all.
