She canoe camps with us in Maine (off lead), and being a "red" wears an orange vest this time of year when in the woods with us. Greyhounds make great pets. They don't bark, are couch potatoes and as a pack animal, are sensitive to the Alpha male's foibles. However, she will chase all small animals, so we have to be careful where we let her off lead.
