John C posted on Events Anti Tax rally held today on Boston Common. Tea Party and other sponsors. MA. legislature is debating today (Sat ) whether to raise our taxes by $5 hundred million or a Billion. Must put in some new rail lines and can't do anything about fraud in the state. Guess 4,000 attendees, Gov. Patrick, politicians and newspapers will ignore it or say a few hundred showed up.

John C posted on Events From the planners website. http://www.marchforlife.org/content/view/46/1/
In 2013, the anniversary date of the Roe v. Wade decision will fall on Tuesday, the day following the public ceremonies marking the Presidential Inauguration. We were not able to secure an adequate number of hotel rooms early in the week, so we have scheduled the March for Life on Friday, January 25, 2013. Our hotel block will be available starting on Wednesday, January 23 and running through Friday night, January 25.
Please plan now to attend. Your presence, in growing numbers every year, is the best way to draw attention to the untenable legacy of Roe v. Wade, and to persuade our leaders to eradicate it from America’s future.

John C posted on Main Page The Lobby Just back from a short vacation to find that the local talk station not only scrubbed their local talk format with Jeff Katz and Jay Severin, but also the national hosts Rush, Sean, and Mark. Clear Channel doing business, or a favor for obama? Just asking.

PLPointer67 Here's a thought: Go on the offensive. Call the radio station & complain. Call each of the advertisers, and say you've stopped listening to the radio station because they dropped Rush, etc. Contact your friends to do the same. Heck, contact Clear Channel and ask what's going on. Your last (good ) resort, is that you can listen to the guys on your computer. PS: Tell that to your radio station! It will drive them crazy. Bottom line: Go on the offensive! Let us know what happens.

Tulunk PLP, you are right, and it does work. Way back when Rush first started, I was ecstatic to hear my views expressed. Then some local elites convinced the station to cancel. I called the station and as many sponsors as I could remember. The program was re-instated within weeks. Obviously I wasn't the only one who called.

Montanabound Where do you live, John C? Surely another station picked them up. I listen to Rush and Mark on my computer. If I'm away from it, I use the Mark Levin show app.

John C I am picking up the national programs on internet. Rush starts today on another local station. The talk station was destroyed, all staffers fired, and is mow a robot outlet for national humor. Boston should find a place for Jeff and Jay. I wrote to Clearchannel national, as no contact info remained for the local station. No answer.

John C posted on Politics I am amazed that the good Cardinal of Boston is encouraging protest meetings on obamacare but still announces his support for obama's unconstitutional actions on illegals. thebostonpilot.com/article.asp?ID=14819
Cardinal O'Malley's statement on legal protection for undocumented youth
"I am very pleased by the statement of Archbishop Jose Gomez, chair of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Committee on Migration, welcoming the actions of President Obama last Friday providing for legal protection and work authorization to thousands of undocumented youth. This action by the President makes it possible for these young men and women, who have spent most of their lives in this country, to pursue education and employment opportunities and to make a contribution to American society. The United States has historically welcomed immigrants from throughout the world, to improve their own lives and to contribute to the common good of our nation. As Archbishop Gomez said, this executive action by the President is not a substitute for passage of the DREAM Act. It is my hope that the U.S. Congress will see the wisdom of providing the full range of rights and protections which this Act contains."
This puts 800,000 minority workers ahead of my under-employed children.

Gerty It pains me to read news like this. And then the inevitable question arises, "What can I do about it?" I am no longer satisfied with the knowledge that there are many more like me--all waiting for a change in November. I want to do something NOW! What is it that is preventing Congress, the Military, et. al. from halting the daily destruction of our Country--bit by bit; day by day.....? Will we ever know? Is this was is meant by a "silent coup"? Is it possible that Congress and the Military are part of this, perceiving it as the lesser of two evils; an attempt to keep world order at the price of One Nation (under God )? This is the stuff of Sci Fi, surely, not reality!!

Ole buzzard In light of the recent officer purges, and Obama's recent picks for flag rank, this could be the beginning of making the military loyal to Obama, and not the Constitution. To me, it doesn't pass the "smell test".

Iacta alea est As if on cue, I saw an article on the mother site that was titled "Abortion now safer than Pregnancy". And my first thought was "Not for the child!" O dearest God, please open the eyes of those who believe these innocent children are nothing more than inconvenient tissue to be swept away so as not to inhibit their own self centered pursuits.

BubbaEuler It isn't the printer, it's what your print spooler is sending to it. Do a "print preview" rather than a direct "print" job. In that manner, you can see what is sent to the printer. You can edit it before sending, as well. Have fun!
