Lucianne posted on Main Page The Lobby We here at LCom Hdq. are also concerned about Photoonist and have tried to reach him via email. So far no word. He dropped from the site on Election Day. Maybe he is getting over the disappointment we share. We will let you know is we hear anything.

Jatfla So sorry to hear this! What a great contributor to the Site. I hope it's just disgust and depression. I still can't believe it! I know I have stopped turning on the TV and avoided all of Fox's talkers. Rove had me a little, teeny bit optimistic.

Newtsche Thank you, Ms.G, getting over will be along term proposition if ever for some, no? I know more than a few who now only hope to take care of them and theirs and even that will be a challenge. Here's hoping Hazymac resurfaces with tales life on a Caribbean isle, taking tourist money with golf lessons and well placed bets.

Loosbolt Not long after Photoonist stopped posting a new name popped up and the similar posting styles are uncanny. As a former moderator of a very large web forum I became adept at noticing these kinds of patterns and often after checking IPs found my instincts were correct. My belief is that the named poster is still with us...

Lucianne posted on Main Page The Lobby Thank you Mrs. Cow, Pickle1. There is a very real risk of this site shutting down if our guiding principles are not respected . We are to be kind to each other, respect each other, listen to each other. Lonliness can be very real. Lucianne and the Lcomstaff and Connection staff

NotaBene This is a wonderful site. We are blessed to have a place like this. I do not post too much but read The Connection every day. I have seen posters in another places insulting other posters they do not agree with and it is horrible. Ms. Lucianne has worked very hard so that we can come to this place and hear about other Ldotters. Bad news are all around us, it is very depressing to see what is happening in this wonderful country. We cannot talk at work and even with family members so it very refreshing to hear there are other people that think like us. A little humor does not hurt. We should all work together to keep this site going. I hate to think what our life will be without it. Phooey is right, we can live in harmony or live alone. We can disagree with other Ldotters but we do not need to be mean.

Lucianne posted on Main Page The Lobby Happy, love filled Mother's day to all our LDot moms. Got to thinking today that all the heartbreak we might have had in life probably meant our mom's hearts were breaking too, for us, only we were to self absorbed to realize it. Thank you Moms for loving your kids more than life itself.

Clipped wings Our hearts are with you on this Mother's Day. I have often heard that the saddest thing in life is for a parent to outlive their child/children. My thoughts and blessings are with all the wonderful mothers on their special day. They never get enough credit! Anyone can birth a child, but it takes a special woman to raise it, nurture it, teach it and love it! Happy Mother's Day to all our Connection ladies.

Hikergal I can't remember where I saw it but it goes something like this.... There is now where I can go, nothing I can do and nothing I can face that Mom's prayers for me have not been there ahead of me. I know this to be true for my children. Happy Mother's day to all the Mom's

Lucianne posted on Main Page The Lobby Thank you, Luis and all of you who have suggested this tribute to our Josh in the year he has been gone. It's lovely for a mother to see. May I add the rest of the story about the pictures on the lunch bags. Jonah wrote about them in a column some years ago. The kicker was that I received a call from the boys' teacher after I started drawing on the bags. I was a stay at home mom at the time and most of the other moms were at jobs in the city. The school was on the Upper West (or Left ) Side of Manhattan and always had "feelings" in mind. The teacher asked that I stop drawing pictures for Josh and Jonah because it made the other children feel bad. They went home and complained to their mothers that the Goldberg kids got....well you get the picture. I think Jonah used this story to explain how young he was when he realized liberals were just plain nuts. By the way, let me thank all of you for coming here to the Connection. You all mean a great deal to me and my family and we love you all. Now let's go get rid of Obama so we can breathe again.

Escaped commieny Endless love back at you. (Thanks for the personal note ). Your family are true Patriots and provide us with a place to Educate and Motivate the other Patriots that were busy providing for their families and houses of worship, and just didn't have the time to be political 'junkies', but we are winning. There are more of us, than the temporary politicians and Marxists, that happen to have the 'TelePrompTer' bullie pulpit.

Rollingcow I just told that story to Mrs. Calf last night! We were having a talk about schools and I used it as an example of how stupid they can be. They have decided to send the grandbabies to Catholic school where the classes are small and the staff go to church with us-doesn't hurt that it's only a block away. We all love it here and, yes, Joshua will always be remembered by us. I am grateful that he gave us such a wonderful family to belong to. Mrs. Cow

BirdsNest Ms. Lucianne, this can't have been an easy year for anyone in your family. It has been a bittersweet time for The Connection Family also. Joshua is remembered every day by one or more of us here, either in our hearts or in a post on these walls. He is ingrained in this site. Mrs. Cow is right, this is a wonderful family to belong to. We are blessed. I am right with you about getting rid of Zippy, we all need to breathe the fresh air of freedom again.

Thwarkmaster Those other mothers could have drawn a hammer and sickle (or whatever ) on a lunch bag the night before, or they could have sat down on a Sunday afternoon and done a hundred bags in a sitting. But then they probably just gave their children money for lunch. I can tell you that any child would rather have a love-infused effort such as yours than a dollar bill shoved into their hand. My mother made our lunches the night before, and they were always fresh at lunchtime. I'm happy to see the family atmosphere that has developed at the Connection. It's a real tribute to the giver, Josh. I'm sure that Chantal sees all the heartfelt sentiments, and I hope they're of some solace to her.

Gop_guys Not to worry. These new tee shirt companies are all over the internet. Not sure who would ever wear the "I pooped" tee. Sounds like something a 2 year old would say with the hopes of an M&Ms reward. I do work on a college campus. Lots of lewd stuff on tees. Guess you get used to it. I agree with Escaped, the real offense is with our current leadership!

Lucianne posted on Main Page The Lobby To My Remarkable Ldotters: On this, the dark and dreadful first anniversary of our Joshua's death, I want to thank all of you who have written, called or gotten in touch to offer concern and comfort to our family. I have never known a more kind and thoughtful group of people. You have saved our lives and I thank you. Friends, faith and family: Let's never stop building a world where those three things will see us through no matter the pain or sadness. God loves you. I love you. Josh loved you all.

Lucianne posted on Main Page The Lobby The reader below is quite angry and writes the following: You assume that since most people in my city are Democrat and are Liberal (not unlike Lucianne herself, by the way ).....
This statement is not true. Personal statements about me or any of the staff will get said statements deleted. We will let this one stand however as others have commented and it would be confusing. Please don't make statements about people you know nothing about. It may not get you deleted but it surely will get you banned.
