MirJoy posted on Main Page The Lobby  Did anyone else hear that there is some new order that will prevent faith-sharing groups in the armed services? I was not fully listening last night to Michael Savage (there was a guest host ), and I could have sworn I heard something to that effect.

It really is getting really scarey out there, and this is only the third month of his second term.

MirJoy posted on Main Page The Lobby  Maybe I should put this on the Political Wall, but it shouldn't necessarily be political. But I registered and paid for a year's subscription with Reagan.com, and today when I tried to get my email, a message came up on the screen that said, "There is a problem with this website's security certificate", and other assorted - effectively, don't open your mail messages, like, "we recommend that you close this webpage and do not continue to the website". Then I sent an email to Support, but, of course, with Reagan.com return email address, which they told me not to open. And, recently, I received a video on it of my new granddaughter which I don't want to lose. And no number to call, but I guess I'll have to try to send from another email address. Maybe this has happened to someone else who signed up for Reagan.com. Anyway, everyone have a good day - I have to go out and buy the bread and milk for tomorrow because when in snows in Massachusetts everyone acts like it never snowed before.

MirJoy posted on Main Page The Lobby  I know that others have written that HazyMac has left the country and is no longer posting, but, also, I wonder where Photoonist (not sure of spelling ) is lately. I don't post articles, but I always enjoyed reading the ones that Photoonist posted - he always seemed to post them early in the a.m. and they were always important and interesting. I wonder why he does not post any more either.

MirJoy posted on Main Page The Lobby  Was just walking out of Stop and Shop and a young man pushing a cart in front of me had a t-shirt on which read, "we'll stop drinking when the economy improves". So I said, "well, I guess you're voting for Romney." And he says, "No, I just got the shirt for free." And I says "Well, I guess you'll be drinking for a long time." Go figure - probably works for the state or the county where they have the money-making machine in the sub-basement.

Call Rep. Headquarters for your state. Old guard wants to eliminate independent - Tea Partiers and L.Com, etc.

Escaped commieny  We The People lost this one. You are right, we needed advance notice about this. It wasn't about Ron Paul, it was about shutting down the grassroots for the next election. RNC knows they were losing their power, people donating to individuals instead of the elitist organization, as one example. We need to win this year and then, will have to rein in the old guard that pushed this.

Escaped commieny  Rush wants the Conservatives to win, no doubt about it. I was surprised he seemed to hesitate about Akin. On the one hand, he believes all life is sacred and we still have the First Amendment but on the other hand, we can't do anything to jeopardize taking the Senate. My opinion was for Akin to shut up until he was in a position to actually affect and have an effect.
Off topic, Governor Scott just said he will bring out the Guard if the police are short handed for the convention and the hurricane. Looks like it may go west and miss Tampa. The thing is, the other governors would have to leave and get to their southern states. People are already donating blood and Publix has pallets of can goods and water.    Rake King  As one who lives in St. Louis, do not under estimate Akins popularity with the Evangelicals.
Right or wrong, they will follow Akin off a cliff.

I guess I'm one of those people who thinks you don't cut someones head off for one mistake. Also, be careful, or the party heads may have those supporters skipping pulling the lever for President.

Escaped commieny  With all due respect, I suggest you do a search on the main site for the poster-Stlouislaxbros dad- who lives in his district and knows him and his family. He states there are not enough evangelicals to carry him. And I am with 4Justice, any idiot that thinks a rape will cause spontaneous miscarriage or abortions, doesn't know history, explain all the armies that populated the countries they defeated. Look at the exploding muslim population world wide, you think those are consensual ?,

Balogreene  All I can say is, if I had a choice between Akin and McKaskil, guess who I'd vote for. He may be an idiot, but if an independent really cared about this country they would not vote for Claire. Actually, I'm not sure MO is the only state we need to win.

Rake King  The T.V. station that did the Akin interview is FOX 2, but don't mistake it for the FOX network. Charles Jaco, formerly of CNN did the interview and they haven't shut up yet about Akin's misspeak. They reluctantly played Akin's video apology this morning, a day after the other locals presented it. When can you remember CNN playing "anything" from the FOX network?

EC my comment about the evangelicals, I was talking about the whole state of Missoui, not his old congressional district (which is in the heart of our richest suburbs ). My fear is if he is removed from the ticket. that would cause all those evangelicals throughout Missouri to stay at home with a worse result than McCaskill winning a senate seat, but allowing Obama to take Missouri for the Presidentcy. Unless you live here, you don't understand how Missouri has moved from a Democrat State to a Republican State, as the outstate vote has been overwelming KC and STL. Biden can misspeak all over the place to not even knowing what state he is speaking in,but Akin makes one stupid statement and it's "off with his head".

Belwhatter  Iwas going through e mails today and came uopn a message from one of the political newsheets thatsaid Sarah Steelman was polling nine points ahead of McCaskill.[supported by, you guessed it, Sarah Palin] I wondered happened to Steelman - and can only surmise the good old RINO boys intervened and put their money as well as the democrats behind Akin.Big mistake.

Rake King  Sarah Steelman and a businessman both polled as winners over McCaskilll by higher margins than Akin, some felt democrats crossed so make Akin the nominee. No one has since investigated the results to find out.

Rake King  Ps: the businessman I mentioned above name is John Brunner who owns a U.S. Manufacturing company, and actually polled higher against McCaskil, then Sarah Steelman. Either the polling was in error, or it is obvious Democrats crossed to make Akin the opponent.

MirJoy posted on Main Page The Lobby  Is it my imagination, or is Rush Limbaugh tamping down his rhetoric? I guess he said today -just turned him on - that we can take four more years of Obama, blah, blah, blah, and previously I noticed that he kept on repeating Axelrod's talking points: Romney/felon, Romney/something else, that was being propagated by Axelgrease. We had Rush, for two years or so, on Rush Radio up here Boston way, and then a couple of weeks ago the conservatives on the show disappeared and have been replaced by a 24/7 Comedy Clown show. Rush just began broadcasting on another station up here - and again it seems softer to me.

Carmen  Yes, he did say we could survive four more years of Obama but that was just the first part of the point. What we can't survive is four more years of morons, takers and slackers who make up the 52% of people who believe Obama is more likely to turn the economy around than Romney. You really should listen to the whole show --- Rush sure hasn't gone soft on us!

MirJoy posted on Main Page The Lobby  I heard on radio today that the town of Brookline, up here in Massachusetts, was considering seceding from their county (think Norfolk - sorry, should have checked ) because they believe that they pay way too much in taxes and feel they do not get enough in return. Brookline is a fairly affluent town - lots of moonbats - practically everyone listens to NPR - many of them speak as they do on NPR - lots of grey pony tails on men and women - and they do not believe in Income Distribution. I love it. I hope Howie Carr writes about it in The Boston Herald. Just like JForbesK can check a box to pay more taxes and he and Theresa never do.

MirJoy posted on Faith  I was thinking when watching the wedding of Kate and Wills that God was included as a Third Party in the marriage ceremony, and you could not help but believe that the union will be blessed and fruitful. And so I think I am going to try to use the concept of God's inclusion in the coming election. I am going to try to initiate a weekly prayer group at my church which would be dedicated to solely asking God's Blessings on our country. Wouldn't it be great if all over the country, while Obama is raising his billion bucks, that those efforts were being counterbalanced with the prayers of people in churches, synagogues and mosques praying weekly for God's Blessings (doesn't even have to be more than "two or more..."). Of course, simultaneously we'd be organizing, raising money, going to tea parties, etc. I am not even going to mention the election when I suggest it because we have more problems than an election going on right now. Never hurts to go to the source - wish me luck.
