BirdsNest Over on Yahoo there is an article that has conflicting reports about him losing a leg or foot. I have not seen any other reports.

Safari Man posted on Main Page The Lobby I just received an email from John Tate @campaignforliberty.com imploring me to call my congressman and tell him NOT to vote for the "Sandy Relief Bill". I would hope my congressman would vote against it anyway, but I wanted to register my opinion anyway. I have never called before so it was an interesting experience anyway, but everyone please call your congress man RIGHT NOW and tell them to vote against this pork-laden bill.

Safari Man posted on Main Page The Lobby I noticed that some of our more prominent contributors have stopped posting ever since November 6. I hate to see these people disappear. This is one of the last bastions of sanity and we need all the like-minded compatriots we can get.

Eagles Dominion Maybe they are just having trouble getting back on since they rewrote the The Connection. It took me until yesterday to re-register and they still are having problems with the Avatar Update.

Safari Man I am talking about contributors to the main lucianne.com site. I am avoiding mentioning names because I am not sure what the rules are, but one of them was the most prolific poster there was.

Newtsche I've not been a regular here at The Connection but I came here a few days ago because I'd seen some cryptic mention of long time Ldotter Hazymac. I guess he made mention of leaving the country. Safari Man, I see you're right, I now note that Photoonist hasn't posted since election night. I must say the very bad feelings the election left me with have not attenuated whatsoever, they're probably worse. I seem to remember Biden saying something to the effect that he wants the opposition trounced so comprehensively, we lose the will to fight. I've said this before, should the left get everything they want, they'll end up eating each other. Cold comfort.

Gerty I agree with all of the above posters. There is nothing more depressing/disconcerting/demoralizing than having been treated unfairly! This election was stolen. If the thought of that has not occurred to you--wake up. And Mr.Limbaugh has not helped the situation.

Hollyhock Miss Gerty, I totally agree about the election being stolen. Everyone lost.

BirdsNest Spot on! Gerty. I feel as if we have all been gutted. They were not even sneaky about stealing the prize.

Safari Man @Newtsche -- those were exactly the two posters I was referring to. Hazymac "signed off". I didn't see any mention of photoonist, who was just amazing in the number and quality of postings. I hope they are just taking a well-deserved rest. We have lost enough, of late. I also feel like this election was stolen. I am despondent because, if true, they have a mechanism for keeping control in perpetuity. If they know they will win, there is NOTHING that will keep them in check -- they can do whatever they want. We should start to see signs of this very soon.

Ole buzzard No, they don't have the mechanism "for keeping control in perpetuity". They do have the mechanism for cheating, but we also have the means to wrest it from them. All it takes is the courage to use it.

Newtsche Not saying anything about anyone but myself, I wouldn't have to be much more diminished to be some sort of casualty after 11/6. When 9/11 went down, I said it was the biggest thing to happen in my life, born 1949. I now say 11/6. And yes, all other tilted playing fields notwithstanding, election theft was the biggest factor IMO.

Hollyhock Newtsche, I was also born in 1949. Indeed, the times they are a changin'. I may have had the wind knocked out of me but I have not given up the fight. Too many don't know what they are giving up.

Safari Man posted on Main Page The Lobby Drudge referenced one of these Seccession petitions, but many have been created since. I signed up and signed one for every state which is already added. Many more signatures are needed. This will probably make no difference but at least I get to speak my peace on this.

I no longer believe it makes sense for us to live as a united country and I feel like conservatives will suffer under liberal dominance for ever more. To be honest, the real petitions need to go to the Republican governnors as it needs to be the states that act to withdraw, but maybe this story will get a little traction since it seems to be growing in popularity.

DoktorFranken Agreed. We are a divided country and there is no sense in a Conservative state to be dragged down into the Leftist/Communist mire. Secession will allow Americans to have our OWN country/countries (states, as world nations are known ) and leave the dregs for the Anti-American states to take care of. I, personally, see a vastly larger "Texas" arising in the "flyover" area - once the "blue areas" are tossed aside. Who would want to have Jackson-Lee in our NUSA? JMHO, you understand.

Surfhut NO. I won't sign a petition.

Phooey Neither do I: "We must, indeed, all hang together, or most assuredly we shall all hang separately." ... It's all or nothing. No petition!

Balogreene To paraphrase someone from an earlier century, "(insert state here ) is too small to be a country and too large to be an insane asylum".
