Surfhut posted on Blessings My sister. The whole family, really. She made a fried chicken dinner yesterday. Then we dragged out her 2 giant boxes of old pictures. Took a stroll down memory lane, remembered so many things from our history, laughed ourselves silly. We aren't a famous or noteworthy family. But we are rich.

Surfhut posted on Faith Thanks for your prayers. The winds have shifted from offshore to onshore, so everyone thinks they'll be OK. Before the winds shifted last night, the fire was near a restaurant on PCH called Neptune's Net, just about a mile from town.
I've lived through so many of these fires (evacuated twice ) and know how those winds can drive the fire and drop flaming embers a long distance from the main blaze. Anyway, moist wind is now coming in off the ocean and everybody is breathing a sigh of relief. Thanks for your prayers!

Surfhut posted on Faith Please pray for my Malibu family. I lived there most of my adult life. Wildfires are bearing down on that little town, and life-long friends are evacuating. Was able to contact one of my friends to find out exactly where the fire-line is. Its about a mile away and Santa Ana winds are driving it. Please pray.
