Wonnie76 posted on Main Page The Lobby  The shooting last week of the little children and adults was horrific, but I also think
of the little babies that are aborted. The are not shot by a gun, but instruments that
do as much damage. Our priorities are messed up.

Wonnie76 posted on Coffee Klatch  The Democrates have taken GOD out of their platform, how sad. In Proverbs it says:
Where their is ignorance of God, the people run wild; but what a wonderful thing it is for a nation to know and keep his laws.

Linder  I've attended many many county, district and state Republican conventions and any voice vote so obviously called wrong would have been followed by demand of a division and if that call was too close we'd have gone to paper ballots. We would never have let a chair just make it up for appearance sake....but then they are Democrats and we are Republicans.

Wonnie76 posted on Main Page The Lobby  WHO STARTED THE INTERNT: In ancient Israel, it came to pass that a trader by the name of Abraham Com did take unto himself a your wife by the name of Dot. and Dot.Com was a comely woman, broad of shoulder and long of leg. Indeed she was often called Amazon Dot Com.

And she said unto Abraham, her husband, "Why dost thou travel so far from town to town with they goods when thou canst trade without ever leaving they tent? And Abraham did look at her as though whe were several saddle bags short of a camel load, but simply said. "How, dear?" And Dot replied, "I will place drums in all the towns and drums in between to send messages saying what you have for sale, and they will reply telling your who hath the best price. And the sale can be made on the drums and delivery made by Uriah's Pony Stable(UPS ).
Abraham thought long and decided he would let Dot have her way with the drums. And the drums rang out and were an immediate success. Abraham said all the goods he had at the top price, without ever having to move from his tent. To prevent neighboring contries from overhearing what the drums were saying, Dot devised a system that only she and the drummers knew. It was known as Must Send Drum Over Sound(MSDOS ), and she also developed a language to transmit ideas and pictures - Hebrew to the People(HTTP ).
And the young men did take to Dot Com's trading as doth the greedy horsefly take to camel dung. They were called Nomadic Ecclesiastical Rich Dominican Sybroites, or NERDS.
And lo, the land was so feverish with jog at the new riches and the deafening sound of drums that no one noticed that the real riches were going to that enterprising drum dealer, Brother William of Gates, who bought off every drum maker in the land. And indeed did insist on drums to be made that would work only with Brother Gates drum heads and drumstickes.
And Dod did say Oh, Abraham, what we have started is being taken over by others. And Abraham looked out over the Bay of Exekiel or eBay as it came to be known. He said "We need a name that reflects what we are."

And Dot replied, "Yound Ambitious Hebrrew Owner Operatore. "YAHOO" said Abraham. And because it was Dot's idea, they name it YAHOO Dot Com.

Abraham's cousin, Joshus, being the your Gregarious Energetic Educated Kid (GEEK ) that he was, soon started using Dot's drums to locate things around the countryside. It soon became known as God's Own Official Guide to Locating Everything (GOOGLE ).

Thats is how it all began. And that's the truth.

Wonnie76 posted on Main Page The Lobby  We just received in the mail a letter from Radio America, James C. Roberts, President. It says that Obama needed only 3 votes from the 5 member Federal Communications Commission to shut down conservative talk radio. It says, that he just got it and in time for the 2012 election. The letter goes on saying that Obama is trying to bypass Congress using the FCC to shut down talk radio before the elections. This Radio America wants us to vote and also send money. What should we do, has anyone else received this mail.

Balogreene  I looked them up, they seem legitimate. But, if it was true Obama had the votes to shut down conservative radio, you can bet you would hear it on the news, or Rush, or Mark Levin, Sean et.al. would be talking about it.
I wouldn't send them money, this seems like scare tactics. But of course, vote.

Escaped commieny  Well, I don't want to pre-judge because I see as an example of the programs, G G Liddy is on but I sure wouldn't send anything. I get between 85-100 emails every morning from Patriotic sites, most want contributions, but the information on current legislation and the midnight Executive Orders are worth the time to read, however no one gets money unless it is a local conservative or an organization that I am confident will use the money for the cause versus an administrative slush fund.

Belwhatter  EC - there does seem to be way too many of these scary letters, always begging for money, which actually contributes greatly to my need for the local paper recycling service. I give only to candidates of my choice and right now we have vital in-state candidacies to support, and those come first on my list for donations.

Wonnie76 posted on Jokes  The kids filed into class Monday morning. They were all very excited.Their weekend assignment was to sell something, then give a talk on salesmanship. Little Sally led off, "I sold Girls Scout cookies and I made #30" she said proudly, sales approach was to appeal to the customer's civil spirit and I credit that approach for my obvious success."
Little Debbie was next. "I sold magazines" she said, "I made $45 and I explained to everyone that magazines would keep them up on current events." Very good, said the teacher. Eventually, it was Little Johnny's turn. The teacher held her breath. Little Johnny walked to the front of the classroom and dumped a box full of cash on the teacher's desk. "$2,467", he said, $2,467!" cried the teacher, "What in the world were you selling?" Toothbrushes", said Little Johnny. Toothbrushes, echoed the teacher, "How could you possibly sell enough tooth brushes to make that much money?" "I found the busiest corner in town" said Little Johnny, "I set up a Dip & Chips stand and I gave everybody who walked by a free sample."
They all said the same thing, "Hey, this tastes like dog poop!". Then I would say it is dog poop. Wanna buy a toothbrush? I used the President Obama method of giving you some crap, dressing it up so it looks good, telling you it's free and then making you pay to get the bad taste out of your mouth." Little Johnny got five stars for his assignment. Bless his heart.

Wonnie76 posted on Main Page The Lobby  We just returned home from a few days in the mountains above L. A., Lake Arrowhead.
It was cool, beautiful and relaxing. Took a boat ride around the Lake (14 miles ) and saw a house on the waterfront that was 16,000 sq. ft. and had 20 garages. On the way there were beautiful yellow shrubs, I went to a nursary to see if I could get the name of the plant. Its called Sweet Broom, they are beautiful. I bought one and plan to plant it tonight. If any of you ladies like pretty plants, actually this is a bush, this would be one to purchase and if you ever get a chance to go to Lake Arrowhead, you won't be disappointed.
