Yottyhere posted on Pet Peeves A few days ago I was trying to play "ketchup" on some past threads on the various WALLS and I kept running into a topic flowing along pretty smoothly and then all of a sudden it got all jumbled and I didn't know what was going on to the topic. I finally figured out people were commenting and letting others comment on their opinion and then at some point going back and removing the original leaving as I said in my PET PEEVE post a "hot mess." Then it happened to a couple threads that I initiated myself and that is when I posted my Pet Peeve. I had a pretty good idea who was doing it for in the remaining comments a name would pop up when that person replied to a opinion. RK took it upon himself to identify himself (which I never did on the Connection. ) Then he removed those posts last night as the comments were still coming in again proving was I was trying to show about the continuity of a thread. "your words RK" Whenever anyone get after me, I just remove "my" words and go play crosswords.
"your words RK" As for Yotty stating I removed all my posts, she is in error, as all of my Movie Wall posts are intact there...months of them.
So it seems it is okay to scramble someone elses post by removing comments and yet brag that all yours are intact?? Did you ever think other people would like to have their posts intact too perhaps?
Then this morning EC enters into the discussion after first posting a picture of a elf(? ) with its pants pulled down bearing his bare bottom at everyone
" your words EC"........ I have lost count of the posters you have driven away or had banned, like I said I have lost count, just got another email from an L-dot that is quitting, hey biddies, nice going.
(I removed the names of the former posters because I have no decision as to who Lucianne and her Interns ban from the site and it is ludicrous and insulting to Lucianne to allege such a thing
Next Rollingcow Oh, very classy. Mrs. Cow
Informing us RK was leaving
"your words EC" several of you broke the heart of an elderly man that has worked his butt off providing entertainment and class to this site, so what do you call 'class'? He is quitting
All because some people were of the opinion that it wasn't really fair to remove comments in a middle of a discussion and he admitted the previous evening to several L.dotters if someone "gets after him." he deletes no matter if it botches up a discussion.
And again your words EC I wasn't on yesterday and missed the whole deal, all I know Is Bill mailed me hurt and that is not what this chat room is about. Since I put this up, I guess I can 'offend' and delete the whole mess. I remember the last year

Yottyhere has been calm without a bunch of opinions offending others.
So you admit you weren't on the Connection to read what happened last night but you have no problem posting a insulting picture, attack some L.dotters and call them biddies
And you also admit (maybe accidently ) that you considered last year calm without a bunch of opinions offending others meaning no one else spoke out about people fragmenting other people posts because thats how some of you were running the show? How horrid of us to have our own point of view and how reckless of us to state it.
I asked you to leave your post up so all the others could see your post and decide for themselves about this issue but you deleted it. Again As usual.
ANd lest anyone think for a minute that EC is some grand Knight in shining arrmor protecting the "picked upon" There use to be a guy living Panama who would post a few lines about political stuff and a link to his blog. Never really more than 4-7 lines long. Harmless. Sometimes I read him sometimes I scrolled past.
In your words Escaped commieny : Anyone else peeved that Dan Miller keeps hijacking the Lobby? Mary Marcus, Lloyd's wife tried to get a login and was denied but this guy keeps posting his vanity post. Even when he admits he has no idea what he is talking about. March 20 at 16:51 EST .
Dan Miller was a pretty good fellow. He and I had a long discussion one time about what was satire and what wasn't satire. We had different opinions. Dan Miller made the mistake of posting in the middle of a ongoing memorial thread for a deceased friend of EC's. I don't know why he got bounced I have been posting long enough on Lucianne to know SHE runs her site. SHE makes the decisions.
I kept a running log of the discussion last night between RK, Mrs Cow and myself. The parts that RK deleted are intact if anyone cares to see it. Mrs Cows and my comments are still there. I also have a copy of the post from EC attacking us this morning in full if you are interested.
and here I just came back to post about the Nu and Mabel adventures and I get pulled into something like this...go figure
Gerty I'll start the discussion with one personal experience and hope it is relevant.
Several years ago, my then-MD noticed an increase in my blood pressure. He immediately placed me on Lipitor.
What a nightmare--literally. I don't know if Lipitor caused the bad dreams but I do know that they stopped after I disposed of the drug.
I took the advice of an old college chum (who got better grades than I in Human Physiology ) and started taking red yeast rice and CholestOff. Have had no difficulty since. But that is just me. I should think that this is the situation for all supplements--some will work for some people.

Yottyhere I just heard a doctor yesterday go on and on and on about in the winter taking Vitamin D with lanolin so you won't get colds. I am confused I think. I know I had blood test a couple years ago and my Potassium was way low and I had to take these ginormous prescription pills for about 8 months. I guess I will check with my doctor to get his opinion. It is all very confusing.

Surfhut I've been around long enough to remember so many fads or trends or health "news" that I don't pay attention to any of it anymore. Soy is good; now it's bad. Mother's milk is carcinogenic. Guess I'm getting cynical now that I'm a seasoned citizen because my first thoughts after reading the article were (1 ) who paid for these studies and (2 ) we have something called the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force?
Yesterday at 04:40 EST .
Yottyhere Yep Surfie I agree with you 100%. Next time I am at the doctor(whenever ) I'll show him the article.Until then he knows what I take anyhow so no big whoop.

Escaped commieny when McPain was running, he said we should not be allowed to self-medicate. At the time, I had been let go from my career so was working at the "Y" and Debbie's Health store, we had a petition that stopped that carp. Zerocare will deny all non-gov't 'nutrition', he and Ayres need to get rid of any one old enough to know American history. OK, so I am a paranoid, sue me. Most people will take vitamins, but the problem is lack of minerals. Gerty's right, what works for one, might not be right for others, that is where research is important. DH, his joints won't work without Cayenne, yet it does nothing for my respiratory. The VA finally said OK, to not take the simfastin (sp ) statin junk. A lot of my ladies in Silver Sneakers used red rice. My blood is OK, but I was lactose intolerant but I started taking local honey and can now enjoy ice cream and have milk instead of coffee in the morning. Everyone needs to find what works for their bodies. I have posted in the past about the research Life Extention does, I use their protocols but buy from Puritan.($ ) They have the most amazing book out, Disease Prevention and Treatment to combat the diseases of aging. It's huge and I have barely got through the table of contents but it addresses how the FDA has been assailed by its own leaders. a quote: Failure to meaningfully reform the way health care is approached will result in catastrophic losses of human life. This group is the only one I know of that has sued FDA and won, my 2 cents.

Bettijo Last winter while I was visiting my daughter (I stayed much longer than intended ) I ran out of my meds: statin drug and high blood pressure med. I just did not refill. When I had my physical recently my doctor said my Cholesterol ratio was excellent and my BP was normal. I then confessed that I stopped my meds a year ago. He did not fuss at me. When I went to check out, the receptionist scheduled my next appointment for NEXT December. I usually go every four months. When I asked why so long, the doc said since I was not on any meds, he did not need to keep doing lab work.

Yottyhere posted on Pet Peeves Okay this is driving me crazy since I came back. People who comment on a WALL and then go back after there are several comments and DELETE what they said thereby turning the conversation into a scrambled hot mess. For heavensakes if you can't stand behind your words for all time then don't put them up there at all!!
I sometimes type out a opinion about something and if I am not sure I want others to see it I leave it on my Text Editor for awhile and then go back and reread it to decide. In the last couple of weeks I have gone to remark on a conversation already in progress only to find it has either vanished completely or greatly altered. That really isn't fair.
Rollingcow I agree. Nothing worse than going to see how a conversation is going only to have your comments sitting out there looking stupid because the person before you took down their comment. Mrs. Cow
Monday at 09:27 EST .
Nugoddess I'll plead ''guilty'' to this on occasion but it's mostly because we don't have an ''edit'' choice. Believe it or not I can sometimes come off just a smidge too brash.
Monday at 09:38 EST .
Gerty There is no edit choice given, Miss Nu. I believe the direction reads "delete..". And it only shows up under your post; you're the only one who can read it and delete the whole comment if you wish. If you delete a "write something"---the whole thread disappears.
But you knew all this already.
Monday at 14:33 EST .
BirdsNest Guilty as well. I posted something further down and decided it was a bit harsh.
Monday at 16:57 EST .
Yottyhere I think Bird if I have a need to delete something from now on I am going to try to remember to give a explanation for it so people won't think I am taking my ball and going home. (unless it is a post from Nu and in that case it is probably my ball anyhow and I am just claiming it back. )
Ask Buzz I don't sit at the computer for long periods of time...I read a little and get up and go do things and then return. So if I am in the process of responding to a comment it's very frustrating to find it gone and in some cases the entire thread...that's when you hear that ARGHHHHHHHHHHH coming from middle Georgia : )

Ole buzzard I have found that I have posted something and hit "Comment" before I have proofread. If I can delete and correct before someone else comments on it, I will. If someone comments before I catch it, I just leave my stupidity out there for all to see.
SHUT UP , Nu!!!

Ole buzzard I really need to do what Yotty does. Type it all out in a word processor and proofread it before posting.
Tuesday at 00:21 EST .
Wrightwinger I find that I can select the typed portion, copy it, delete the post, and then paste it into a new box. I can then edit it to my heart's content. Then hit the comment button again.
Yesterday at 16:15 EST .
Hikergal Drives me nuts!! The other thing that was bugging me for awhile my posts were being deleted and not by me.And they weren't out of bounds on the guide lines they were just proof gone.
Yesterday at 18:22 EST .
Yottyhere There are(or were ) conversations going on in the Connection where post have been deleted across all the walls and you can pretty much tell who is doing it (for whatever reason ) but usually their name has been posted by someone involved in the conversation.
And HG I think it would be happening to everyone not just a couple of people if the system as doing it.
If Luis wanted to cut down on the amount of pictures or videos currently online here it would stand to reason they would pare down the oldest not the very newest that messes up a entire conversation.
I am going to start keeping a running text on a thread on my Text Editor if the comments go above 3 or 4 to have documentation to send to the Interns to see if this is actually a system problem or a troll intent on interrupting a ongoing discussions.
It's aggravating and extremely rude to have people spend some of their time typing a comment or opinion and then have someone pull out 3 or 5 portions of the debate without explanation.
Nugoddess posted on YottyhereGrace1798 I have some questions and complaints. I am 5'1" and my DH is 6'2". If I eat a salad for supper that's usually enough for me. My diet is mostly a poached egg in the morning, some roasted turkey at lunch, with broth...and a bowl of broccoli at supper or a salad on other nights. That's usually enough for me.

Yottyhere Ahhhhhhh the females I have heard over the years claiming they ate like a bird! A couple nuts and bowl of broccoli blah blah blah..... And these girlies I knew in real life and could see for myself they were 11 axe handles across the beam!
BirdsNest He just creeps me out. And I don't find him the least bit funny.
December 14 at 14:29 EST .
Yottyhere It's him, his characters and his looks. Least funny man ever. In the same category as Jim Carrey...another ~~~~~ick

Nugoddess Ferrell's smarmy, political, holier-than-thou attitude is about as funny as a rubber crutch. The man actually wished harm to a sitting president.
I don't care who is president, you don't do that.

Ole buzzard I always thought Ted Baxter was a pompous arse. Kind of like he was a legend in his own mind. I saw Ted Knight in other roles, and he was just as annoying as Ted Baxter.
December 15 at 09:53 EST .
Rollingcow I didn't like the Mary Tyler Moore Show at all, but I remember reading that Ted Knight served in WWII and was very active helping vets. I don't care what else he did, I'll always admire that part of his personality. Mrs. Cow
Yottyhere Number #3 is our own(state of GA ) very wonderful Xena the Warrior.
When she was rescued my daughter sent me a photo link of FB about her being found. I looked at the picture and at first couldn't understand why my daughter was sending me a picture of a deceased puppy. After reading the story I didn't think the pup was going to survived so I didn't want to become too attached. (I cry very easily ) Well, Xena did survive and then her story got even more amazing. It's a really great story.
Ynaught While Bo and Sunny are somewhat cute, my Cavalier pups are way cuter! I cry foul as whoever put that compilation together was probably threatened with an IRS audit unless they put the first and second dog in it!
