MeiDei  Look again, only 2 of the above pictured were in the LOTR trilogy.
April 16 at 10:40 EST .

   BirdsNest  Must be "The Hobbit".
April 16 at 13:09 EST .

MeiDei  Yes, The Hobbit - but which one : ) hint to the answer in intro blurb above. Can anyone name any of the actors?
April 16 at 18:14 EST .

MeiDei  "The Hobbit - The Desolation of Smaug" includes Ian McKellen, Martin Freeman, Richard Armitage, Benedict Cumberbatch, Evangeline Lilly, Lee Pace, Luke Evans, Ken Stott, James Nesbitt, Aiden Turner (Kili/Evangeline Lili's love interest-- better known as the current Poldark by some ) and Orlando Bloom.

Man of God Josiah Gray is determined to bring religion to the people of Walesburg, a dusty southern town still healing from the Civil War. Though initially Josiah must hold his parishioners at gunpoint, in time he wins over the community and marries his organist, Harriet. As the years pass, a number of situations arise, including a typhoid outbreak and a hostile mob, in which Josiah must prove that God is the only force that can restore peace in Walesburg.

StormCnter  That has to be Joel McCrea. And probably Dean Stockwell in the middle. I'm stuck on the actress and I don't know the film.
April 15 at 17:35 EST .

MeiDei  You have named them correctly. "Stars in my Crown" is the title and she is Ellen Drew. You earned two stars for your crown today.

MeiDei posted on Coffee Klatch  Eyebrows.
Has anyone noticed the eyebrows on today's "celebrities"? The brows are getting closer to each other in the center. After the 20'30,40's when women shaved their eyebrows and penciled in a thing line, the trend was a tweezed brow, with a clean center, the edges of which began from an imaginary line from the outer edge of the nostril upwards. This gave an open face look, neither stern or quizzical or a thin fine line. Today I'm more and more aware of the "new" brows and not thinking it's the best look. Comments?

   April 14 at 16:17 EST .

MeiDei  A "thin Line" - not a "thing line" : ) These (shown ) do look like
"things" ....

Richdet  Helen Hunt (top ). Scarlet Johansson (bottom ). He looks like a generic Masterpiece Theater-type person I should recognize but don't. Title? No idea. (Big help I am. )
April 15 at 12:27 EST .

MeiDei  Yes on the ladies, he's Tom Wilkinson - a noted British actor. The movie is "A Good Woman".
April 15 at 12:58 EST .

Richdet  I didn't recognize Tom Wilkinson ........... I am putting myself in the Movie Wall corner as a penance. You're right. Very good actor.

MeiDei posted on Movies & Reviews  Who can name the actor and the movie from this photo?
   April 14 at 13:16 EST .

Richdet  This dude doesn't look like someone who should be ignored. Nor his pal either. I think the title is "The Crow" (can't imagine why I think that ), but that's all I got.
April 15 at 12:18 EST .

MeiDei  Correct on the title, the actor is/was Brandon Lee who died during the making of the movie when a real bullet was used instead of a blank. Jason Momoa has the starring role in the 2019 remake.

Richdet  Pretty sure that's the "Gone Girl" blonde, whose name escapes me. Otherwise I can't help ya.
April 15 at 12:22 EST .

MeiDei  I didn't see "Gone Girl" - but you're right about her being in it; she's the lovely Rosamund Pike. He's Simon Pegg and the movie is: "Hector and the Search for Happiness" - a fun British humor movie with a moral lesson.
April 15 at 13:31 EST .

MeiDei  Oooops - left out Toni Collette, Stellan SkarsgĂ„rd, Jean Reno and Christopher Plummer from the cast of characters.

MeiDei posted on Movies & Reviews  I'm finding that what didn't interest me 'yesterday' in films - might interest me today or some tomorrow. Case in point: "Divergent" - I tried watching it a few times in the past and had no interest at all, last night I watched it and its sequel (Insurgent ). Not only was the chemistry good between the two main characters (he's the actor who played the part of the Turkish guy that died in Mary's bed on Downton Abbey - much better role for him in this movie ) but even Ashley Judd in her small role wasn't off-putting. Kate Winslet had a surprising role. There's a 3rd in the series & when it shows up on TV I'll watch it. Has anyone else seen either, or both, in the trilogy?
April 13 at 10:25 EST .

StormCnter  I have not, Mei. I tend to avoid anything with Ashley Judd.
April 13 at 10:29 EST .

MeiDei  I probably would have skipped over it if I came in when the title and cast were being viewed - as it was, it was already on the TV channel and I just sat through the beginning - then kept at it. I don't think Judd was on for 5 mins. in total. Theo James held my attention throughout ... [laughing].
