Gram77 No idea what this film is but I do know that is the father and son Sutherlands. Not sure about the woman.
Monday at 09:52 EST .
MeiDei Yes on the Sutherlands. This is an interesting film in that when it's over you might find yourself determining what might happen if a sequel were made : ) Then again, you wonder if any of us can, or would be allowed to, escape our past.
A young man in the 1940s raises a family in Alabama after his wife leaves him for an Englishman and moves to England. When the wife dies, she leaves a request to be brought back to Alabama to be buried, and at that point the man hasn't seen her in nearly 30 years. The two families - her original family she abandoned and her English family - meet and make an attempt to adjust to each other, with uneven results.

Gram77 For sure I see Robert Duvall and maybe Billy Bob Thornton and that's it.
Monday at 09:55 EST .
MeiDei Yes to both (RD far left, BBT center in gold jacket ). I thought the gal far right would be named quickly Can you find Kyra Sedgwick's husband?
Yesterday at 12:07 EST .
Gram77 Now that you mention Sedgwick's husband, could he be the one with dark glasses behind the lady dressed in blue? If so, thanks for the hint.
Yesterday at 16:23 EST .
MeiDei Yes, he is! John Hurt, Frances O'Connor, & Ray Stevenson are others you may recognize. The movie is: "Jayne Mansfield's Car" - an interesting movie, yes, they do get to visit Jayne's "Death Car" via a traveling "museum" come to town. Good character development.

MeiDei posted on Movies & Reviews This goes along w/the post below, no need to hold it for another day...2004 title/actor
When college coach Herb Brooks is hired to helm the 1980 U.S. men's Olympic hockey team, he brings a unique and brash style to the ice. After assembling a team of hot-headed college all-stars, who are humiliated in an early match, Brooks unites his squad against a common foe, the heavily-favored Soviet team. As the U.S. squad tries to overcome insurmountable odds and win the gold medal, the team becomes a microcosm for American patriotism during the Cold War.
MeiDei Please solve, another one I thought 'easy' but proves Rich's point about 'easy'......
Sunday at 13:22 EST .
Richdet I see Kurt Russell. And I would venture the title is "Miracle on Ice"? Because that would seem the likely choice.
Sunday at 14:25 EST .
MeiDei Yes for Kurt and close enough for "Miracle" - I like your title better. You skate to victory when others do not.

MeiDei posted on Jokes A union boss walks in from the factory next door and is about to order a beer when he sees a guy at the far end of the bar wearing a TRUMP “Make America Great Again” cap with two beers sitting in front of him.
The union boss doesn’t need to be an Einstein to know that this guy is a Republican, so he shouts over to the bartender so loudly that everyone can hear, "Drinks for everyone in here, bartender.... but not for the Republican!" Soon after the drinks have been passed out, the Republican gives him a big smile, waves at him then says, "Thank you!" in an equally loud voice. This infuriates the union boss. After a few minutes, the union boss once again loudly orders drinks for everyone except the Republican. As before, this doesn’t seem to bother the Republican. He nods and smiles, and again yells, "Thank you! A few more minutes pass and the union boss orders another round of drinks for everyone except the Republican. Just as before, this STILL doesn't seem to faze the Republican who continues smiling and again yells out, "Thank you!!" Frustrated that he can’t seem to get the guy angered, the union boss asks the bartender, "What is wrong with that Republican? I’ve ordered three rounds of drinks for everyone in the bar but him, and all the dummy does is smile and thank me. Is he nuts........"
"Nope," replies the bartender. "He owns the place."
Catherine Boyd is a highly intelligent doctoral student at Princeton University and is engaged to stuffy Professor James Moreland. Ed Walters, a mechanic and all-around regular guy, falls for Catherine and searches for a way to impress her. Believing that the key to Catherine's heart is his IQ, Ed passes himself off as a physicist with the help of Catherine's uncle, who just happens to be a fun loving mischevious Albert Einstein.

Richdet The one on the right is definitely Tim Robbins. The blonde is probably Meg Ryan (runner-up: Melanie Griffith ). Einstein I don't know. Summoning all the IQ I can muster, I imagine this one didn't light the box office on fire(? ).
Sunday at 14:21 EST .
Gram77 Einstein is Walter Matthau. I saw this and remember that it was a really cute movie but I can't get the name.
Sunday at 14:30 EST .
MeiDei Tim & Meg and Walter - check. The movie is "I Q" - when class is in session you both go to the head (of the class ) : )
Sunday at 14:59 EST .
MeiDei The stuffy professor mentioned was played by Stephen Fry.

MeiDei posted on Movies & Reviews Reposting - here's the trailer for "Mamma Mia 2 - Here We go Again" I happen to like ABBA but I'm amazed that Cher (age 71 ) is supposed to be Meryl (age 68 ) Streep's mother - (this confirms my opinion that MS is too old for the part.
February 16 at 22:22 EST .
Richdet This is so confusing. Lucky for me there is absolutely zero chance I would see this movie ever. I saw the first one, and have been traumatized enough.
Notice who is playing "young" Meryl -- Lily James. She was cousin (? ) Rose in "Downton Abbey," the pretty ingenue part. She is also in the "Darkest Hour," playing Winston Churchill's typist, with dark hair. Didn't recognize her at first.
Richdet I believe the one on the left could be Marshal Matt Dillon, aka James Arness. Like the tat. Pretty sure I would be aghast to see Dr. Allyson come in the room, and maybe hide under the table, but that's why he is Marshal Dillon and I'm not.
February 16 at 11:02 EST .
StormCnter You could join Joan Blondell under that table, Rich.
February 16 at 11:21 EST .
MeiDei OK the two pictured are named (thank you ) bonus points for naming others in the cast and the title of the movie.... ready, set, go!
February 16 at 12:23 EST .

MeiDei 8 hours is long enough - tell us the name of the movie Gram!
