The only thing he gets wrong is the requirement for a carry permit. The Second Amendment should be all you need.

Norgay posted on Main Page The Lobby  Hey everyone, I need some help here. I am I remembering this right?

The last time we had a shutdown, I was still active duty Air Force and I do not remember them closing the Commissary and I think I would have as I did all the family shopping on my way home from work back then. So what is different this time?

I ask because it is really going to hurt the lower ranking Airmen and the all the retires on fixed income if this lasts much longer. I'm not very happy about it myself as it's going to effect me as well. As there is a big difference between the Commissary and down town.

Ynaught  It's suppose to hurt the "little people." The military golf courses remain open in case 0bama needs a break from ramming his socialist policies down our throats. He wants folks to hurt because he knows the media will blame the Tea Party.

Escaped commieny  Rec'd this note a few days ago from a retired Warrant Officer:
Call your Congressman/woman.

This is an outrage, all military commissary in CONUS have been close down, effective OCT 1, 2013. I called, DeCa at Ft Lee, Va to verify. There recording stated they will be closed until further notice. Even tried to call White House info line, there are shut down also. This Obama is destroying our country, one peice at a time. The American people should be outraged and take action.

Ole buzzard  The dirty secret that is not being told is that the commissaries operate on NON-APPROPRIATED FUNDS. That's right. They are NOT a part of the DoD budget. They operate on their own profits. There is absolutely NO REASON to shut them down.

Rake King  Good call OB!!!! The secret is out, thanks to you. As each day passes it is obvious the Obama Admin. Is trying on purpose to cause pain. What "A" holes, and how petty. Those vets at the WW2 Memorial weren't going to accept "NO", and is why they are called "The Greatest Generation".

How pathetic Park Police were sent there to deny entry...."A plague upon your house" (a quote from John L Lewis ).

Rake King  So there is no mistake the Lewis quote was aimed at those members of the Obama Admin making such mean spirited decisions.

Norgay  First off, Thanks everyone's in put.

It now looks like they didn't need to close the Commissaries after all. Just as we all thought, it was for maximum pain. Starting tomorrow even though they still don't have a budget, they are going to reopen.

The cover story is that they misinterpreted the rules. Like I am going to buy that. I think it was the phone lines being burned up with angry calls. And I think that there is internal poling showing that it this is starting to really hurt the Presidents numbers.

Norgay posted on Main Page The Lobby  It is a red letter day here in Nebraska. Senator Ben Nelson from Nebraska is going to retire rather than face an election that many of us here in Nebraska were working hard to make sure that he lost. I think that this is more writing on the wall that the Republicans will take control of the senate. Now what they do with it is another story. For today though I’ll take the good news.

Escaped commieny  LSM thinks the Taxed Enough Already crowd has evaporated because there haven't been an big rallies, that's good, because in reality, we are stronger than ever, but working at the local levels and getting results. The days of the big shows and signs is over, they not only didn't listen, they tried to disparage us, but We The People learned there is country wide support to remove the libtards turned Marxists. Like I told Martinsh, we all thought we were alone, but now we know better, we out number them but have to learn how to organize, communicate, educate and motivate. As Mark Levin told us before the election, they distorted the language and corrupted the discourse.

Escaped commieny  I know NU, I saw Nelson retiring on the main site, got all excited and then poof Ben not Bill. Not sure how Connie Mack will do, seems some baggage there, and Grayson is making his usual racket. Just when I think we can lead the charge, we have the idiots in Tampa pepper spraying a guy to death. That's why at times I use Floriduh

Browneyes  What with all the issues boiling up {Solyndra,Fast & Furious,Freddie & Fanny, etc} is it possible that ole Ben has knowledge of what is oozing out and loves his family more than his co-conspirtors?

That must be thrown out, repealed, destroyed, what ever, it's not just zero, it was the left's dream since FDR, WW, control healthcare=control the lives of Americans

Belwhatter  With you Hollyhock - what tired old useless porkers we suffer here in WA. TEA party might do well to concentrate on voter ID and monitoring election returns. Also read earlier that the financial wizz of MF Global has major ties to the EPA - food for thought- as well as Corzine's senate and Goldman ties - can you say incestuous?
