StormCnter  Mei, I'm very late in responding to your request, but you can watch the entire first episode here at PBS's website. I did so yesterday, while I ate lunch. No wonder I have to shake crumbs from my keyboard on a regular basis.

NotaBene posted on Suggested Viewing/Listening  Anybody watching The Good Wife? I used to like this show when it was about Lockhart-Gardner but it has become too complicated and yesterday they featured Valerie Jarrett. She was awful. I like to watch some shows to distract me from what is happening in this country under this administration. Why did they have to bring this woman? Featuring Jarrett yesterday was a low point. I think this is the last episode I am watching.

Any comments?

Richdet  My comment is: Thanks for the warning! My curiosity about this show just went out the window.

I caught parts of a couple of "Good Wife" episodes last season, which struck me as very well acted and interesting. So I have been thinking about checking it out. As for Valerie Jarrett, I would counter: why "Madam Secretary" as the lead-in? From the ads, the latter show looks like some valentine to a Hillary Clinton surrogate. It appears that CBS is stacking the deck for Democrat women on Sunday nights.

Gram77  I'm not happy with the merger. I would much rather have seen how Carey and Alisha would have gone forward on their own. I would like to ask if any one watched the opening show Gracepoint? I wonder how long it will take to bring out the past of the new detective put in charge. Something fishy there. Also I am trying to get into How To Get Away With Murder. Lots of lose ends with this one that I can't tie together yet.

NotaBene posted on Blessings  I have so many blessings, first of all my husband of 43 years, it is a blessing to share my life with him. My children and grandchildren, my faith, and last but not least my 93 year old mother. She has been a wonderful mother and a good friend all my life.

When I was young my mother taught me to always count my blessings; to be thankful for what I had and not worry about what I did not have.
That was a great advice.

Wonderful movies. Love the connection. Rake King I am looking forward to tomorrow's quizzes.

HopeandGlory  I'm so glad you enjoyed "Flying Tigers" Notabene, next to "God is my Co-Pilot" it's one of Hubby's most favorite movies. "God is my Co-Pilot" being #1 and probably "North to Alaska" is #2 . . . Smile!

   Safetydude  H&G,

I read "God Is My Co-Pilot" in high school and then had a life experience playing golf 'with' General Scott and meeting him at one of his annual tournaments to help support the "Museum Of Aviation", outside Robins AFB in Warner Robins, GA.
I was stationed at Robins AFB and one of our old 116 TFW Wings' F-105's is on display at the museum.

HopeandGlory  Hubby said "Oh Boy Dude, what a wonderful experience you had meeting Gen. Scott." Hubby said he also read the book as a boy. Maybe that is why he joined the Air Force . . . Smile!

Safetydude  "Scotty" as he was called by his friends(I was not one )but we all called him that, visited our wing when we were flying B-1's out of Robins sometime in the late 80's.
I think he was also in his 80's when flew in one of our jets.

He was a well know and a welcome guest on base.

Thank your Hubby for his service.
