Escaped commieny would appreciate the return for the option of viewing newest posts too, I miss that the most. Who has time to scroll through each wall hunting for new posts?

Kono I visited this wall specifically to ask if those functions actually went away. While relieved it's not just another case of me being oblivious, I wonder whether the loss (or suppression ) of those features doesn't undo the 'connection' mission of this site. Can't help thinking it might be yet another casualty of our liability-obsessed culture, since user lookup could, conceivably, be used for stalking and harassing purposes.

Saguni About a decade before this site was created, we used to be able to click on a poster's "name" and--if they made it public--see that poster's email address. I've been on the main site since long before the blue dress, in all that time I've had ONE bad email...that person railed about the stupidity of something I'd posted to an article. I searched back through my posted comments for the previous few days and could not figured out which one he meant. But, as a defense, I went to a free email site and created a new email (SAGittariusUNIcorn@mail.com ) for use on these sites only. Perhaps there are stalkers out there, but I doubt if they are Lucianne.com members.

Escaped commieny My email was public on the Main site for 12 years, never had anything but like minded posters contact me, I met so many wonderful patriots from coast to coast. Am I the only one major annoyed to have the "latest post" option unavailable? I understand from tech, it is a matter of cost, so we all need to contribute to the tip jar if we want options to return.

Dcbroome I think some items aren't showing up. It will look like someone must've posted something, esp when there are comments about the "post" afterwards. Is it some graphic or picture? Do I need to allow popups/ cookies? Does my question even make sense? : )

Bettijo I was justs browsing through my previous posts and came across this message: Bettijo posted on Politics -- Message Removed due to complaints from users -- Staff I have no idea what I may have sead that was offensive to anyone. Since this was just after the Supreme Court decision, I suspect it was in relation to that. Is there any way I can find out what caused complaints so I can be sure and not repeat this mistake. Normally my posts are quite bland and usually get positive resonses for other Ldoters. So, I would really like to know what I said that was offensive. This is my favorite web site and I enjoy and look forward to comments from my fellow Ldotters. I certainly do not want to offend anyone and apologize for whatever I said that some found offensive. Thanks.

Yottyhere Bettijo, From what I remember from back then I slightly remember someone said you posted a cartoon or a picture or something and someone asked that it be removed. I can't remember exactly what happened but it was something like that. I know several people asked me if I knew what had happened to your post. I very rarely if ever go to the Political Wall and I think I have only posted once on that particular Wall so I never saw any picture. Didn't know what had happened until several days after it was removed. I guess you could write Luis and inquire what happened. yots

Hurmie84 China as the World’s Leader
We owe so much to China that they cannot afford to call in our debt lest they force us to default and cut off their biggest customer. It is a catch 22 and it looks like our debt will ultimately concede world leadership to China. What happens then? Pray for the winds to calm, the ground not to shake and floods fires, drought, famine and epidemics to quit happening around the world because, do you see any evidence that China gives a damn when any of these things occur outside their borders? They are equally unconcerned about genocide, mass murders and political uprisings that plague the world. China does not get involved except to export electronics, Olympic uniforms and Asian Flu. Does the label “Made in China” reflect quality to you? They do have a fondness for dictatorial despots. If they want something they just ignore the copyright and make it themselves. By the way, how well do you speak Mandarin? It makes me dream of being an isolationist. A crazy idea I know but what a dream. We could pull in our oars and drift for a while, restrict our imports, default on our foreign debts, streamline our government, shut off foreign aide including the UN, recall our military, rely on our natural resources, start a new currency, clean our cities and concentrate on educating our youngsters. Give the world a chance to see if they miss us and give us a chance to see if we miss them.

M Stuart I know a crooked businessman who used to trade with China. He ripped off many people. His motto was that, "If you get in debt to someone deep enough, it hurts them too much if you default." It worked for him.

Gerty There is no offense intended by the following comment addressed to our hard working staff for the Connection.
Speaking only for myself, I do not make many suggestions because the ones I address seem to go unanswered. I am referring specifically to the "...do not reload.." gremlin which affects us all.

Straitpath Please, Powers That Be, do not let this site slip into acceptance of vulgarity. There is a bunch of vulgar words on the main site today. There is nothing wrong with being refined.
