Tulsa posted on Main Page The Lobby  Storm, to use FF again:

I had two problems with FF. The instructions below stop FF asking your location. Go to this link:

Scroll down to' How do I turn off Location-Aware browsing permanently?' Click and follow the directions. It's short and sweet...easy peasy.

The first set of instructions I posted was for another problem. ... the one that involved typing %7C in the homepage slot in Internet options....I confused my notes and I apologize to you and everyone else.

StormCnter  There are never apologies necessary for offering advice, my good friend. People can always take it and use it or pass by it. You're always helpful and I thank you.

Tulsa posted on Main Page The Lobby  Storm, the correct way to stop location warnings by FF and use that browser again is below under the comment from Mike in PHX.

Also you were mentioned on the Computer wall about MS updates. I haven't seen you here recently, so I answered for you. Pls make certain I stated your words correctly.

StormCnter  Tulsa, I went to the Computer Wall and answered RWB. You are right about my Update advice. I'm still running Windows 7 and very happy about it.

StormCnter  Also, it must have been someone else who needed help with Firefox. I don't use it much any more.

Tulsa posted on Main Page The Lobby  In Firefox with ABP installed, click refresh and the ads disappear. If I leave and return, the ads return. Click refresh and they are gone. I have no idea what is going on....but I did report the problem to ABP once.

I posted on the main page on an article about chrome adding adblocker and on the Computers wall, but know more will see this info here.

Tulsa posted on Computers &Tech Issues  I just saw the comments about ads returned to the homepage. Here is the org. instruction to get rid of them:

Place your cursor on any ad at Lucianne and right click. When the box comes up click Adblock 'image'. Then another box comes up that is pre checked, click 'add' to lists and the ad should be gone. Repeat on all ads. If you have bars left from under ads, right click on the bar and repeat as above (adblock ‘bar' ). Another box comes up that is pre checked, click ‘add’ to lists and the bar will disappear. Repeat on all bars.

I've reported the issue to ABP. If I click 'refresh', the ads disappear. I may have to hit refresh every time I return to Lucianne...don't know yet. They are disgusting, I agree.
April 20 at 20:49 EST .

Tulsa  I went from here to Lucianne and the ads reappeared. I clicked 'refresh' and they disappeared.

I have no idea what is going on....why they are back. I know there is a big fight between ad blockers and advertisers. I don't know if Lucianne even knows they are there. It depends on the browser used, settings...several things.

All I know is I hate ads and telemarketers. I record everything I watch on tv and fast forward thru ads. I'm a big girl. I know where to buy things. I don't need pushy ads. They are actually turning people off, not enticing people to buy.

Tulsa  I found this note yesterday and realized I gave other directions to stop the FF share your location message. I have done both the above and the other info I shared to this pc.

Also Att only provided some of the info needed to block unwanted calls. Immediately after an unwanted call, press *61 THEN turn on the phone (we have a cordless phone with a landline ). You will hear 3 short tones, then a delay (so wait! ), then a message the number has been blocked.

Att's site directions mixes directions for blocking on the cordless phone with on line site blocking. Not helpful at all.

Anonymous calls may be blocked by pressing *77, turn the phone one and wait for a message.

Tulsa  It's *61#, but att did not tell anyone that. It's also *77# and that is one time only for anonymous calls. The *61# is after every call to be blocked.

Tulsa  I know said, but Win. 7 is going to konk out when you replace your pc and you have FF again, you'll have the info. Make yourself a note and save it. ...cause I could fall asleep in Jesus any time.

One of the first things I did when I was saved was pray for patience. I had to beg the Lord to take it back. He's worn me down more slowly since...and it's been far less painful.

I was up on the Mountain and thought I was bulletproof. And I never wanted to come down. No one can stay up there I learned and the fruit grows in the valley. I'll be learning till I fall asleep in Him. ...and no I'm not ill, I just don't know His plans for me. I have no idea why I said that....maybe it's reading the faith wall and learning so many are ill. My prayers for each of them.

Tulsa posted on Main Page The Lobby  Gram77 and StormCnter regarding the secure login question on March 16. In Firefox I receive the same message if I attempt to login at the Connection or anywhere on the Lucianne page.

I'm currently using Edge browser in Win. 10 and I do not receive that message. Edge is Microsoft's replacement for IE. I don't believe Edge is nearly as secure as FF.

I emailed Luis, the Lucianne tech and asked him to pls address the login issue but I have not heard and it has not be repaired.

Here is the link with the explanation about the message:

Tulsa  I surf in Firefox with ABP(AdBlockPlus ) it's the only way to surf imo. ...the safest. I had to x out and open up the Edge browser to come back and comment.

Now just because I don't get the warning when I log in when I'm using the Edge browser doesn't mean it's safe to log in....oh my...sorry about the double negatives. I think Edge is a lousy browser. Don't like chrome as that's Google and I don't trust google or like google.

I hope this is fixed soon. It gives me the willies.

Glad I helped Gram. Nite nite.

StormCnter  I abandoned Firefox some time back, although I had enjoyed using it. Conflicts seemed to crop up on a daily basis and it was just too much trouble. I use Chrome and Opera now. That would explain why I have never seen the same message as Tulsa and Gram. I'm glad it's not an ad come-on, however, just a Mozilla glitch.

Tulsa posted on Main Page The Lobby  StormCnter. While I was getting my mosey on here, our niece and her husband were in TX ...the Alamo specifically. We have wonderful pictures from my SIL.

The husband gave a presentation at a bidness convention which happened to coincide with the Texas Independence celebration. They had a wonderful time.

Before the world went pc it was Washington's Birthday.
