Straitpath posted on Main Page The Lobby  I hope we don't lose Bill O Reilly on Fox News. I know many don't like him, but I find him honest, informative and entertaining. I am so tired of the left and their ways. He who is without sin...

Escaped commieny  Ditto that. However, I think the world will improve after the last decade, especially after the 8 years when the demon was in power. That thing showed no human qualities.

Straitpath posted on Blessings  Is the greatest commandment to love God and self and fellow man? I am going to try to keep that commandment today. Feeling anxious and scared, but not terribly so. Feeling gratitude, too.

Straitpath posted on Blessings  So I have been depressed and I know that fear and doubt are the opposite of faith, so I have begun a quest for faith. I have perfect faith that God is my Heavenly Father and that Jesus Christ is my Savior, but I am still fearful of life. Faith can move mountains. How to gain more Faith? I have been reading about it and my best answer today is that Heavenly Father will grant me more faith if I am obedient to His commandments. I am trying.

MeiDei  I have found that when I have to spend my last ounce of faith, accepting what follows, God grants me more faith sufficient for and in the nick of the time. You have a prayer partner, if not more, here. Be of good cheer.

Iacta alea est  I prayed that our Father would increase my faith. And He did. One thing He used to accomplish His will in my life was to place me in situations where I had no options EXCEPT relying on Him to "bring me thru the waters" as He promised in His word. A major tool -for me at least- was to dedicate time each day to read His word the Bible. There is an excellent pamphlet titled "Through the Bible in a Year" which gives a daily reading schedule. It goes through the Bible in chronological order, and each daily reading is no longer than a newspaper article. If you Google the title I'm confident you can find it. I join Mei in praying for you on your journey.

Straitpath posted on Blessings  I was in bed thinking about trying to do a daily devotional. I thought about this under used site and decided to try to post a devotional comment or two regularly. My purpose is to praise God publically and I would love to have others do the same. So I got out of bed and thought I would talk about an answer to prayer I received today. I am having neighbor difficulties; someone is going to build near me who seems to want to take advantage by running a business in a residential neighborhood which would disrupt our peace and quiet. I have been very upset and had no peace of mind. I prayed for help and the answer came that I should let God fight my battles and that I should be a good neighbor no matter what. I now have peace of mind which I badly need. I am thankful.

Straitpath posted on Pet Peeves  I am studying pictures of Melania (? ) Trump trying to determine if her eye squint is natural. Some of her pictures show nice round eyes. Now I am seeing more celebrities, men and women, looking squinty eyed. It is uncomfortable to squint for long. So glad I am not into all that. When I was young I had full lips and a big rump. Not so sexy then, LOL.

StormCnter  When George W. Bush and lovely Laura waded into Texas politics for his run for governor, Laura always looked squinty in photos. It was very obvious when someone advised her to open her eyes, because for a while, she overdid it with a wide-eyed, slightly frightened look. But, she modulated the eye-look until it settled into a more genuine and relaxed, but open-eyed expression. So, maybe Melania is still perfecting her look for the cameras.

Straitpath posted on Pet Peeves  Needed to change my address with Social Security. What a joke. Couldn't find directions on Internet site. Waited on phone one half hour and hung up. Called local office and I think I got it done, though she didn't act like she knew what she was doing. Why such poor service???

Balogreene  Early 90's in NYC my wallet was stolen (of course, Rudi wasn't mayor yet ). I went literally across the street to the Social Security office to get a new card. I was behind many people who didn't speak English, and didn't have ID. They were being told you didn't need ID at the welfare office, go sign up for welfare, get an ID card and come back to collect SS.
