Eagles Dominion Why did British bystanders watch a soldier get hacked to death?
While it is well known that a British subject cannot carry a gun, it is lesser known is that they also cannot carry a knife of consequence, pepper spray or a stun gun.
According to the United Kingdom government website, the online storehouse of British government regulations, it is illegal to:
sell a knife of any kind (including cutlery and kitchen knives ) to anyone under 18 carry a knife in public without good reason – unless it’s a knife with a folding blade 3 inches long (7.62 cm ) or less, eg a Swiss Army knife carry, buy or sell any type of banned knife use any knife in a threatening way (even a legal knife, such as a Swiss Army knife ) Folding knives, regardless of blade size, with a locking mechanism are illegal in the U.K. for carry in public and are referred to as “lock knives.” According to British law, “The maximum penalty for an adult carrying a knife is 4 years in prison and a fine of £5,000.”
Pepper spray is also illegal under section 5(1 )(b ) of the Firearms Act 1968, which prohibits “any weapon of whatever description designed or adapted for the discharge of any noxious liquid, gas or other thing.”

Ole buzzard If anybody is still having trouble locating ammunition, try using gunbot.net. I recently found some 5.56 armor piercing for only $.70 per round. In the current climate, that's a pretty good price.

The families of the Newtown massacre are being used by the president in an effort to frame the issue this way: If you're with Obama, you're on the side of saving innocent children from mass killings -- and if you're against Obama, you have the blood of the children of Newtown on your hands. But it actually does matter if what Obama is proposing would have made any difference when it came to the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. And the fact that it would not have is what makes Obama's gambit so shameful and disturbing. (I say that as someone who is somewhat sympathetic to the expanded background checks. )
Mr. Obama's effort at emotional blackmail has failed, and in bitterly lashing out at those who called him out on his demagoguery, he went some distance toward confirming that he is, in fact, a demagogue.
Three months into his second term, Mr. Obama is becoming an increasingly bitter and powerless figure. When a man who views himself as a world-historic figure and our Moral Superior commands things to happen and they don't, it isn't a pretty sight. See yesterday's Rose Garden statement for more.
Rake King Well what do you know, the media had to report a mass random attempt to kill people with "A Box Cutter", instead of a gun. That really threw them off balance as they were trying to shift the tide on gun legislation.
