Fireball27  I hope the Trump people look at this site. If they do I have a suggestion for them. If, as the old saying goes, "a picture is worth a thousand words" please have Mr. Trump show pictures of the rotten democrat run cities in America. Show the pictures of the ILLEGALS smuggling drugs across the border. Show the absolute mess the ILLEGALS leave behind where they have crossed the border. Ask the greenies how they like seeing that mess! Start showing what we are actually talking about.
I once saw two pictures side by side. You were to look at the pictures and tell which one was bombed by an atomic bomb. One of the cities was American, and the other was in Japan. One of the cities was Detroit. Guess which one looked like a bomb hit it? Start showing pictures NOW!

BirdsNest  Of course that picture is no longer there but if you saw it you certainly would remember it. Maybe Trump should use that IS pretty scary. Most Presidents age quickly once in office, can you imagine what SHE would look like. Ewwwww.

Gram77  Just watched the 5pm news. Lochte and 3 other swimmers may have problems. They were ordered not to leave the country, however, all the boys are already back in the U.S. More and more questions are being asked and there is talk about the robbery being false both on national news and on the internet. I thought something didn't ring right from the very beginning. Lochte has a lawyer and has said Lochte will be available for questioning. Again I say ummmmmmmm.

Gram77  Saw something on MSNBC this morning. I think the reporter was Billy Bush. He had a quick chance to talk Lochte (I think this morning ), this I cannot swear to but the interesting thing was he took Lochte aside near the beach and asked him about the robbery. The reporter's take on the short talk was that he thought Lochte was unusually calm while describing episode. Then the reporter said that some sort of an official approached them and said to Lochte, "Ryan, we talked about this." and immediately took Lochte away. The Olympic officials are saying that this did not happen. Ummmmmm.

StormCnter  There are several media sources saying the cops can't find evidence of the robbery. Here is one from Sports Illustrated. Puzzling.

Gram77  Thanks, Storm. The article you suggested makes perfect sense. Frankly, I'll be glad when the Olympians are back in their respective countries all safe and sound.

Gram77  Just saw breaking news on Lucianne. Apparently Lochte and 3 other swimmers were robbed at gun point while out celebrating. If in fact this is correct, I have to say I'm surprised that something like this took this long to happen. I've been looking around on the internet but can't find anything concrete. Maybe this will be on the evening news.

Tulsa  Saw article at Drudge this am. Middle column. Link:

Probably also at Fox News.

Fireball27  Said to have been in a taxi that was stopped by people in police uniforms. Had a gun pressed against his forehead. Too bad they didn't try to rob the judo team!

FlatCityGirl  I finally saw Bela Karolyi last night. I had wondered if he was even in Rio. He was on-screen for just a few brief moments in a pre-taped piece about the Final Five; whoever was narrating the piece mentioned Bela but that was all. He was smiling a big wide smile, just like always. He's lost a lot of weight, and I wonder if he's had health problems. His hair is whiter than ever.

Gram77  I caught something on the television about an athlete being treated for sickness from the water in Rio. I think a rower but only caught part of it because I was in another room. I've been looking but am not very good at searching for information. Any one heard anything? The only other thing I happened across was on Lucianne where it was reported that lots of the food stands were running out of food due to large crowds. All this stuff is kept quiet but problems are bound to get out.

FlatCityGirl  A Belgian woman who won a 2012 bronze medal has become sick, the first Olympic competitor to fall ill after sailing the polluted waters of Guanabara Bay.

Evi Van Acker reported feeling sick after Wednesday's races, the governing body World Sailing said. Her poor performances have put her at risk of missing out on a medal in the Laser Radial class.

Her coach told the Belgian VRT network he believes Van Acker contracted a severe intestinal infection while training in Rio de Janeiro last month.

Gram77  Thanks to all who posted this information. It seems that Rio is not willing to accept the growing problem. Who does it think they are kidding as they continue to insist the water is safe? And the burning question from me, why did we award the Olympics to Brazil? It's no secret as to how 3rd world this country is. Excuse my bluster but these are my feelings.

FlatCityGirl  Apparently the Green Diving Pool has been shut down while they try to get it back in chemical balance.

I'm still stunned that any Olympian would actually dive into that water.

It's like the nuclear tests in the desert years and years ago that no one thought were harmful until twenty years later 90% of the people present were dead from cancer.

No one can say for sure what's lurking in that water.

Waaaaay too much iffy stuff in Rio.

A day or two ago, there was a story about a couple of referees for one sport or another taking a wrong turn on the way to a venue, and turning in to slum area where they were fired on. The vehicle they were driving was riddled with bullet holes and one of the men was shot in the head. He was expected to live, thank goodness.

Gram77  It's about 3:15pm and I am watching diving. That pool still has an odd color to it. In our younger days after moving to Florida we took a job for managing a condo building. Hubby was sent to school for training as to how to manage the correct chemical balance for the pool. It's been a long time since those days but he says he thinks there something way more than chemical imbalance wrong.

Gram77  What's with our USA men's volley ball teams? Both indoor and beach volley ball guys appear not to be mentally in their games. The gals are doing quite well.

FlatCityGirl  I watched a little bit of women's beach volleyball last night. The first time I watched them a few days ago they were playing nearly nekkid. Last night they were covered up like Eskimos due to the weather.
