Safetydude  Is there ANYBODY left out there that doesn't realize that our country, and the world, is in deep Kimchi.

When challenged by “60 Minutes” interviewer Steve Kroft about ceding leadership in the Middle East to Putin, Obama argued that leadership on climate change was more important than leadership to combat terrorism.

“My definition of leadership would be leading on climate change, an international accord that potentially we’ll get in Paris,” Obama said. “My definition of leadership is mobilizing the entire world community to make sure that Iran doesn’t get a nuclear weapon.”

That's a quote from the "60 Minutes" transcript, via GOOGLE.

Obama is also quite proud of his milestones on climate change, particularly after reaching a “historic” deal with China in 2014.

This is a man that lives in his own head, not the real world!

I don't watch ABC, CBS, NBC, NBC, CNN, et al so this is secondhand from FOX
and a GOOGLE search.

MeiDei  Someone should introduce a presidential jacket - white with long ties to the sleeves that wrap around & tie in back. Did Kroft ask him "You don't really believe that, do you"?

Gram77  Question: As you all know I am not terribly smart when it comes to politics, but I have a burning question which some how is surely a connection to politics. Why is S. Carolina on their own with this terrible flooding disaster? Doesn't this state qualify (or whatever the proper term is ) for help from FIMA? Are they going to have to paddle their way out of this mess all by themselves? If this is a political problem, then I am even more angry at this country than before.

StormCnter  It's an excellent question. Texas, also heavily Republican, has soldiered through several disasters without the Feds. During the terrible fires of a few years ago when a lot of Central Texas was afire, the Feds refused to loan us their tankers with fire retardant which were based just a few miles from our state line.

FlatCityGirl  With the Mulatto Muslim in the Spite House, it stands to reason that any state that is heavily Republican will be punished if a natural disaster hits.

The Mulatto has been punishing Texas since the day he took the first oath of office. Not only has he refused to help in the face of natural disaster, he's sicced the EPA on us [as well as other federal agencies] and brought lawsuit after lawsuit against Texas.

I make the reference to "Spite House" for a reason. A good reason. There has never been a more thin skinned, petulant or petty Head of State in our history than the Mulatto Muslim who resides in the People's House. There isn't a fire in Hades hot enough for him. I hope my grandchildren live long enough to see his grave turned into a public toilet. I'm going to leave instructions in my will for them to make a contribution in my memory.

Rant Over!

Namma  because Obama knows that Republican governors will not hug him like Christie did. so he wont send federal aid.
oh and did you know that even after that big smoochie hug fro Christie, parts of N.J. are still waiting for aid.

FlatCityGirl  Actually, if I were a private business or a public agency, school, etc., I wouldn't want either one of those signs posted.

It's always better to make a possible bad actor wonder.

I think that's one reason why, out here where I live in Gun Country, were have such fewer car jacking, rape, muggings, push-in robberies, etc., compared to places like Chicago, Newark, Detroit, et al.

Certainly not everyone out here is armed, but those of us who are don't walk down the street or put a sign in the front yard advertising it, therefore a possible mugger or push-in robber just never knows when he's going to come up against a .357 or 12 gauge.

HopeandGlory  I thought y'all might enjoy this:

by John Cleese - British writer, actor and tall person

The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent events in Syria and have therefore raised their security level from “Miffed” to “Peeved.” Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to “Irritated” or even “A Bit Cross.” The English have not been “A Bit Cross” since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies nearly ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from “Tiresome” to “A Bloody Nuisance.” The last time the British issued a “Bloody Nuisance” warning level was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanish Armada.

The Scots have raised their threat level from “Pissed Off” to “Let’s get the Bastards.” They don’t have any other levels. This is the reason they have been used on the front line of the British army for the last 300 years.

The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from “Run” to “Hide.” The only two higher levels in France are “Collaborate” and “Surrender.” The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France ‘s white flag factory, effectively paralyzing the country’s military capability.

Italy has increased the alert level from “Shout Loudly and Excitedly” to “Elaborate Military Posturing.” Two more levels remain: “Ineffective Combat Operations” and “Change Sides.”

The Germans have increased their alert state from “Disdainful Arrogance” to “Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs.” They also have two higher levels: “Invade a Neighbour” and “Lose.”

Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual; the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels .

The Spanish are all excited to see their new submarines ready to deploy. These beautifully designed subs have glass bottoms so the new Spanish navy can get a really good look at the old Spanish navy.

Australia, meanwhile, has raised its security level from “No worries” to “She’ll be alright, Mate.” Two more escalation levels remain: “Crikey! I think we’ll need to cancel the barbie this weekend!” and “The barbie is cancelled.” So far no situation has ever warranted use of the last final escalation level.

A final thought - “ Greece is collapsing, the Iranians are getting aggressive, and Rome is in disarray. Welcome back to 430 BC”.

Fireball27  Shooting at Umpqua Community College in Oregon is 50 miles from my home. Consider this, and these are just my thoughts, the media won't give the name of the shooter, even though this happened in the morning. It's now evening. Also it has been said the killer asked what religion the students were. Now add to that, Roseburg Oregon is where the hero from the train attack in France lives, and bingo, a motive seems to be emerging. Just my thoughts mind you but lots of coincidences though.
