Safari Man When you're holding a hammer and sickle...
I hope/wish the bravado at the end of that was true. Sadly, too few people are tuned into what is actually going on in this country. I am not seeing the change I thought we'd see. We just keep sliding into the abyss.
Are you as offended as I am when you're reading lucianne.com and see an ad for a Dimocrat appear before your eyes? I am seeing Wendy Davis ads for Texas Governor. I am lothe to click them, until I realize... hey this will cost the Dims MONEY if I click on this. So I am clicking away on every dimocrat ad I see. Join me and help cost the dims money!

Lonestar Jack No more so than the libs who advertise on FOX and FOX . Perhaps the worst are Progressive Insurance and the AARP folks. I know it is a matter of readership numbers, but I wish they would go to the Alan Colmes and Al Jezera fiascos. That would also include Wendy Davis. I don't think you can click enough times to make a dent in the pay per click sites. As I recall the most any of my clients had to pay was $.25 a click that went through deep enough into the site to be considered a payable click.
Fireball27 I'm having nothing but trouble trying to read articles on the mother site. Pop up ads for updates keep popping up, not allowing you to stay on the article. If you X them out, and get back to the article you were reading, by the time you find the last line you read, the pop ups come up again. I checked with my IT guys, and they said it was the web site. So please Lucianne, get this fixed.

RedWhiteBlue Someone on this site suggested to install Adblock Plus....and it WORKS!!! Not one popup since then. Thank you to whoever that was. Maybe you should give it a go. I was getting popups on every website to the point I could hardly see the page. Since then not one popup.
StormCnter Adblock Plus is free and the installation is just a matter of a couple of clicks.

Mildred I use it and at the time of installation I had to install the version for the browser you have. It works great with Explorer but with Chrome you frequently need to block individual ads. But it works and is great.

Belwhatter Incidents of trains, usually those containing coal or oil, are readily aired on the lamestream media news. I fell to wondering why they should be falling off the rails often in remote stretches of the country. I admit to having a naturally suspicious mind these days - could it be that some groups with an ultra green agenda are fiddling around making things look bad?

Hollyhock I have long felt that a lot of these situations are contrived and staged.

Lonestar Jack After attending the Cowboy Poetry Festival in Alpine Texas.
Driving home a thought kept going through my mind and maybe it is the reason I go to these Cowboy events.
It centers around the simple and honest way two Westerners greet each other versus two politicians greet each other.
The westerners for lack of a better word approach each other straight up heads held high and look each other in the eye while they extend their right hand for a firm hand shake. The hand extension and subsequent hand pumping goes back to the time of the knights to show they weren't holding a weapon.
Contrast this to the Obama style greetings. He has two styles:
A. With foreign dignitaries he sometimes executes a very subservient bow and drops his head losing sincerity and eye contact. No personal touching.
B. The most common: Wrap his arms around the person thereby losing all eye contact and sincerity (also to locate the photographer so he can flash a toothy smile ) and positioning his arms for a back stabbing. I guess this is an attempt to gather the people under the umbrella of his warm cozy government family. Also instead of being straight up he has to assume the C position.
Personally, I take umbrage at people invading my space unless they are relatives or very close friends.
Reminds me of the little boy who sees two bowlegged cowboys walking down the road and asks his mother -- Ma what strange men are these who hang their balls in parentheses?
