Ole buzzard  We think that because our founders gave us a remarkable and unique constitution that "Our Government" has our best interests at heart.

Our Founders didn't think so. And THEY created the government we have!!!

But, to be fair, the "government" currently in evidence in Washington isn't the same as the one the founders gave us. Corrupt men and women have perverted our Constitution and government such that yes, all they want are obedient workers, people who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork...and just dumb enough to passively accept it.

What is the "it" here? It is what has become a FEUDAL system where the three headed monster that is the US Federal Government is the "LORD" and the "WASHINGTON ELITES" are their "SHERIFF". Do you get that? We are, RIGHT NOW, living in a FEUDAL system of LORDS and Serfs. Uh, yes, I DO mean right now, 1:55 PM EST Mar 4, 2015.

Now most of you don't need this pointed out. But dang it, the truth needs to be communicated, even to those that already believe.

Feudalism is what we are fighting against. The fact that serfs think there is nothing wrong with our government...everything is OK. I'm getting three squares a day and a cell phone to boot. I work at a fast food business ("Do you want fries with that?" ) and think they deserve pay equal to actual trained and experienced workers.

We are the serfs folks. And the DEMOCRATS are NOT THE FREAKING PROBLEM HERE. It is EVERYTHING TO DO WITH THE WASHINGTON ESTABLISHMENT TOP TO BOTTOM that is the problem and we, the aware, the patriots, the defenders of liberty and freedom are the LAST STAND AGAINST TOTAL TYRANNY.

We need to stop being distracted by every little fabricated "Soap Opera" like script being played for us to keep us entertained and distracted.

HEY!! ITS THE ENTIRE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT that is the problem. Not the dems and not the repubs...ALL OF THEM!! How do we defeat THEM IN TOTAL?

Well, at least part of our answer had better include Article V of the Constitution. If not, boy are we goners.

Sorry folks...I do apologize that I appear to be raving at you personally sometimes...I'm not really. I am venting because there are so many in America that DO need to hear this message...and I don't know how to get it to them fast enough to make a difference.

Bettijo  Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Address to Joint Meeting of Congress

I missed Netanyahu's speech because I had a lunch meeting at church at 11 this morning. I found this complete recording of his address if you, too, were not able to watch it live. Believe me, it is worth watching. Why can't we have a leader like him?

Obama is so embarrassing. He has no class. He acted like a spoiled child who could not have his way. He should have acted like the adult host to a foreign head of state. Instead, he skulked like a spoiled child. My mother would not have tolerated that kind of behavior from me, even when I WAS a child. Anyway, Bibi showed him up just by being Bibi, an adult with class.

Balogreene  And our countrymen make fun of W and Reagan for the same kind of speech. I have only heard the excerpts from Rush and Mark, I was working earlier, and missed the speech. Remember, Bibi was a fighter before he was a politician.

I have a series of books on my Kindle, by John Lyman, "God's Lions". The PM in those books reminds me of Netanyahu.

RedWhiteBlue  Today I clicked on this thing that said to update my Foxfire Mozilla . WELL....I did that (and I knew I shouldn't of clicked to UPDATE ) and now I recognize NOTHING on my internet page. I finally found how to remake Lucianne my homepage but that's about it! I have no tabs on the page top, no bookmarks, no nothing. WHY do these companies insist on making it so dam difficult to do these things they want us to do? I know, I think, that you do have to upgrade your stuff every once in while but geeeeeez, I have no idea how to retrieve all my stuff that I worked years at to collect. I hate when this happens. Anyone else going through this sort of nonsense? How do I get back to the older version I had before I CLICKED away my stuff? There's no warning, no instructions, no nothing and nothing is what I have. I promise I will NEVER click again. Anyone know anything about this mess I created? Sob-Sob.....

StormCnter  Have you lost your bookmark bar? That may be the problem. This is copied and pasted from Mozilla. The menu button is the Square set of lines at far upper right.

The Bookmarks toolbar is hidden by default. To turn it on or back off:

Click the menu button and choose Customize.
Click the Show / Hide Toolbars dropdown menu at the bottom of the screen and select Bookmarks Toolbar.
Click the green Exit Customize button.

MeiDei  Does anyone find this heavy-handed since this group is not a militia & publicizes it's meeting well in advance and open to the public (as stated in the comments ). Maybe someone from TX will justify or condemn the following:
http://www.wnd.com/2015/03/feds-raid-texas-political-meeting
/#PokDUHViu5JGcJBM.99
Monday at 12:10 EST .

StormCnter  Mei, this group isn't as innocent as they would have us believe. There is no such thing (legally ) as a "judge" or a "senator" in the "Republic of Texas", and filing fraudulent documents pretending to be legal can get a person in a world of trouble. Here is a further description of the "1997 incident" from Wikipedia:
"The movement split into three factions in 1996, one led by McLaren, one by David Johnson and Jesse Enloe, and the third by Archie Lowe and Daniel Miller. In 1997, McLaren and his followers kidnapped Joe and Margaret Ann Rowe, held them hostage at the Fort Davis Resort, and demanded the release of a movement member in exchange for the release of the Rowes.[6][7] McLaren's wife, Evelyn, convinced him to surrender peacefully after a week-long standoff with police and Texas Rangers. McLaren and four other Republic of Texas members were sent to prison.[8] Two other members of the group, Richard F. Keyes III and Mike Matson managed to slip away. Matson was shot dead by Texas Rangers two days later, while Keyes surrendered to the authorities on September 19. In June 1998, Keyes was convicted of burglary with intent to commit aggravated assault and sentenced to 90 years in prison.[9] This effectively destroyed the McLaren faction, and the Johnson-Enloe faction was discredited after two of its members, Jack Abbot Grebe Jr. and Johnie Wise, were convicted in 1998 of threatening to assassinate several government officials, including President Bill Clinton.[10]"
and here is the link to the Wikipedia article:

MeiDei  Threatening to assassinate anyone IS serious. What I don't understand, since there were no arrests, why legally they had the right to photograph, fingerprint & take their DNA as well as their cell phones .. that's the part that got me. If running guns or other non-peaceful activity - were the case wouldn't they be arrested first, charged and then the photos, etc. There's more to this story than the article provides - this is why I asked for feed-back. Thanks.

Balogreene  I decided not too post here, or on Facebook, political opinions. I work in an industry quickly losing jobs. It is also associated with the Federal Government. I feel I cannot lose my job, I have too many to support. On Facebook, it is easier, I want to keep up with family who have different opinions. Here it is hard. We usually agree. Sorry guys, recipes, books and jokes for me.
Sunday at 20:52 EST .

Gerty  Wish I could disagree with you, Miss Balogreene. But I can't. The present administration has made me feel uncomfortable while expressing my political opinions.

I have come to the conclusion that there is an "up" side to growing older but feel so sorry for the children.

StormCnter  Has anyone suggested to WW that he change his browser? I find that Chrome isn't reliable on Lucianne.com. Sometimes it works fine and sometimes lots of the text disappears. Firefox or even IE are more consistent. I use all three browsers for various jobs.

Ole buzzard  This was written by a Facebook friend, and I found it so profound, so reflective of how I feel about this country and where we are headed, that I have a need to share.

Reagan. Obama. A study in two Americas. On the one hand, a future where America is strong, proud and capable of defending itself and others against tyranny and terrorism. On the other, the spirit of appeasement wreaks its insidious influence targeted at corrupting and destroying a culture known throughout its history as the "shining light on a hill".

America must choose between these two visions. The debate is not yet over, the future not yet set in the stone collar of despotism.

Liberty and freedom DO NOT EXIST in the yellowed pages of long ago penned philosophies and declarations. They DO NOT EXIST in the halls of ANY GOVERNMENT and are not found in the group heart of governments.
Liberty and freedom reside in the minds and hearts of individuals. A child learning to fly a kite, a teenager striking out to create their own business, a mother devoted to fanning the flame of liberty that resides in the springs UNBIDDEN in EVERY person that takes their FIRST BREATH.

These are the places, among many, where Liberty and freedom reside.
Do not look to those in government to act in defense of these expressions, for as surely as the sun rises each morning, governments will, bit by bit, inch by inch and mind by mind STEAL the IDEA of liberty and freedom from the minds and hearts of its people.

And, in spite of the powerful efforts of our founders in creating a Constitution founded on the principle of defense of liberty and freedom, THEY KNEW...THEY KNEW!!! that it was as inevitable as the press of the sea's tides that THIS government they created would also surely succumb to the siren song of power and despotism.

And it has come to pass. The only question is what will we, the ones that have eyes to see and ears to hear the swan song of America, DO...............

Surfhut  Love seeing everyone on this thread.

WAN2, agreed that our freedom is not for the faint of heart. Buzz asks what do we DO about it? We get involved in politics from local positions to POTUS. We elect people who promise to represent us. Once in power, they do not represent us. I'm by nature an optimist but admit to be terribly discouraged because I don't know what else to do.

WAN2, your sentence "A land of plenty eventually goes soft and succumbs to bread and circuses" speaks loud and clear to me. We have become a country of people who feel entitled, from welfare recipients to the halls of power. Again, I don't know what to do except work and pray.
February 28 at 10:11 EST .

Ole buzzard  Surf, that's why I got involved in the Convention of States project. Since the adoption of the Constitution, there have been over 400 applications for a convention submitted by the several states. But since the verbiage of them varied, Congress has never been compelled to call one. Now we have coordinators in individual state legislative districts across the country, and we are presenting applications in the state legislatures that all read the same! Three states (Florida, Georgia, and Alaska ) have already submitted their applications. There are 28 more considering their applications in their current legislative sessions (Oklahoma is one of them ). We only need 34 applications to compel Congress to call the convention. All they do is name the time and place, and then they are out of it. The amendments that will be proposed will be aimed at returning fiscal discipline to Washington (abolishing the IRS, balanced budget, Fair Tax ), term limits for the House and Senate (no more career politicians ), and restoration of the States' role in the federal government (repeal of the 17th Amendment ).

Those are reasonable, and ATTAINABLE, goals.

Surfhut  Convention of the States project has been rolling around in my mind for a long time, but I've been feeling so defeated that I never seriously looked into it. Until now. I've spent a couple of hours researching the project, specifically progress in Oklahoma.

Thank you, Buzz, for waking up my inner optimist/upstart.
