Belwhatter  Listening to Rush this morning discoursing on millenials, he hit the nail on the head. Yesterday at an ex Subway location now used for ministry to the homeless other street people, a young man, tall, of good physique packing about 50 lbs on his back showed up for a lunch. He calls himself a traveller, having eschewed normal things such as a home, family and job for this drifting life style. I am pretty sure he rgarded us as a bunch of old fuddy duddies, however he allowed himself a few moments conversation and a bag of food to go until his clostrophobia re asserted itself and he was off. He had no plans other than to cross the border into Canada via a raspberry field, certainly not at the official crossing. He was not thinking of writing a book or doing anything remotely useful to anyone. He is a typical millenial according to Rush, and hoow sad for his parents left in the dark while he roams around finding himself or something.

Jerseytomato  Just received an email from the dark side, featuring the Hillary Clinton 'Pantsuit T-Shirt.' The official PIAPS website, is selling these in an attempt to raise campaign cash. (cough, cough... )

The t-shirt is horrific. Specifically for those who are in denial, and completely oblivious of fashion, never mind good taste. Printed to resemble her 'iconic pantsuit top' - all for just $30.00

Check it out if you have a strong stomach.

Safetydude  I'm on both sides of this issue.
As Christian, I support her right to exercise her religious freedom and as a retired senior NCO I have to support her Supervisor and her Commanders.
LCpl Sterling had many, many avenues to deal with with this issue. One of them was not to argue with a senior NCO.
Once that starts, in order to preserve the command authority, she was bound to lose. She should have known that since as a LCpl she was in the chain of command.

I think there is more to this story...I think she wanted out and someone gave her bad advise.
I'll bet she thought she would get a 'General Discharge Under Honorable Conditions', not a BCD and she could go on her way.

I'm sure her Commander offered an 'Article 15', Nonjudicial Punishment, which she must have refused and asked for a general Court-Martial.

Bettijo  Gosh! Wish I had know about this earlier as I think the eaglets have all hatched now. Went on internet and found more videos.

This is video of eagles at Berry College, but apparently the babies have "flew the coop" so to speak. Maybe they hatch sooner here in Georgia (warmer climate ) than up north. Notice the still pics below the video which have some interesting comments as Mom Eagle is bring fish to babies in nest.

These are in Florida; named Romeo and Juilet

RedWhiteBlue  And these eaglets are about to leave the nest any day now...I've watched this nest for years now. Hope you all enjoy as much as I do.

Phooey  Happy Birthday Bob Dylan (74 )

"Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside
And it is ragin'
It'll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'."

Safetydude  Yes, the times they "are a-changing" but not the way we expected.

Happy Birthday to Bobby Zimmerman.

I was at the U of MN in the early sixtis and Bobby Zimmerman was a featured performer at some coffee houses around the west campus.
One of the most asked for songs was "I Stuck My Finger In The Woopecker's Hole".

Mildred  Does anyone know how to get rid of those annoying and stupid Google ads that have begun to appear on Lucianne? I installed their opt out program that apparently is just a ruse because they continue to pop up every day, especially in the evening. That's just plain weird. Everything Google touches has caused a problem with my computer, including my email account. Maybe I should get a Mac?

Gram77  This peeks my curiosity. I get none of this on Lucianne, just big spaces where ads used to be. Guess I should consider myself lucky.
May 22 at 13:14 EST .

Mildred  Gram...I use AdFender and that helped for a short time. I also get the big spaces but sometimes they now have ads. I wonder how they get on my computer. I use Internet Explorer 11 and regularly clear the cookies and temp files. I've had problems with my ISP in the past and don't take chances anymore. I also run CCleaner if my computer seems to be running slowly. I thought I finally got rid of the ads. Now if I could only stop all those robocalls!

RedWhiteBlue  To StormCnter... Well, I did it again. I ''refreshed'' my computer and lost my familiar sites and things. You instructed me the last time I did this to myself on how to get back my stuff. If you wouldn't mind...can you tell me again? I remember you said to click on the upper right hand line of pictured .... and that's all remember. Sigh! I have Firefox/Mozilla. I did find my ABP...YAY! So if you wouldn't mind going through all that with me again. I feel like a fool and probably look like one by now also. Thank you so much

StormCnter  No, you shouldn't feel badly. We all have had a computer problem that temporarily panicked us. If you scroll down this page a bit, you will see our previous exchange. It's right there. However, just in case you don't find it, I'll copy and paste it here:

"Have you lost your bookmark bar? That may be the problem. This is copied and pasted from Mozilla. The menu button is the Square set of lines at far upper right.

The Bookmarks toolbar is hidden by default. To turn it on or back off:

Click the menu button and choose Customize.
Click the Show / Hide Toolbars dropdown menu at the bottom of the screen and select Bookmarks Toolbar.
Click the green Exit Customize button."

RedWhiteBlue  Thank you so much. I'm back to ''normal''...what ever that is. Gosh, I looked for my post about this problem before but maybe I didn't go back in time enough.
Thanx again! : ) Don't go too far.
